  1. In many countries, there are multiple official languages, meaning that nationality cannot reliably be used to determine a guest's preferred language for communication. A field for default communication language could then be added to customer profile to ensure consistency in all correspondence and also to prevent guests from receiving messages that they don't understand.

  2. Guests often have special requests as they make reservations, however when they receive confirmation emails with a summary of their booking details, these special requests are not included as part of those details. Therefore, adding an additional line to confirmation emails could include any additional notes that apply to those reservations, so the guests know that their requests have been received.

  4. Allow customization on when a product should or shouldn't be shown to the guest.

    Some examples:

    • Don't show breakfast product for breakfast included rates
    • Restrict a product in the guest journey depending on minimum/maximum advance (will allow for gradually more expensive versions of the product as it gets closer to the date of stay)
    • Restrict a product for certain days of the week (only available on weekends)

  5. It is about merging guest profiles. As soon as we are merging guest profiles and you choose to keep one profile it takes both addresses. If someone makes a reservation for a year on for example HRS - it takes both. So we also need to delete for exmpl. 60 profiles from the same person which takes ages!

  6. It would be great to have the option of having multiple emails with the account. Some people would like different charges invoiced to different emails (i.e. business card is only paying the room therefore that invoice goes to that email, and a personal email for all other expenses).

    Also another reason is husband and wife might want the invoice sent directly to there email

  7. Question: online check-in.

    Can a different background be placed per hotel there?Now guests see large buildings. This has nothing to do with our company!

  8. It would be great to be able to customize the requirements for a Kiosk Check. This would allow us to collect information that is not part of any legal environment based on our location.

    Right now we ask guests to utilize the kiosk but when it cannot collect all the information we need for a check in it sits unused.

  9. Would it be possible with the messaging function to have all the messages automatically attached to clients profile?

    Example: A receptionist is chatting with an arriving customer, but finishes his shift before this client arrives, another receptionist may not know/ check the read messages. It would be easier for the staff to have all guest messages attached to their profile.

  10. Would be great if cancellation policies can be added in reservation details mentioned in booking confirmation received by customer.
    Like this, he is fully aware of specific cancellation policies, even if booking directly with hotel via phone or email.

  12. The system should have a tool to detect automatically similar profiles (same name and surname for example) and propose one by one to merge or not the profile. It could be a big help and time saver for us, as it could take time to detect duplicate profile.

  13. In our regular Guest's profil, we have sometimes 10 times the same credit card because our guests book online.
    Mews should be able to merge credit card in guest's profils if the card is already register. Or at least, we should be able to remove the duplicates.

  14. At the moment when an optional reservation is made for a guest manually, the guest will receive an email from MEWS and they can just click on Confirm or Cancel.

    When they Click on Confirm the optional reservation is immediately confirmed in MEWS but no credit card details are requested to guarantee the reservation.

    We want the system to only give the guest the possibility to Confirm the reservation once they have inserted their credit card details first.

  15. As we have many returning guests, we need to know which customer belongs to the same family. It would be great to merch Children to their parents and a wife to her husband and visa versa.

    Like this we get to know our guests better and the booking process for future stays will be even easier.

  16. We have a large amount of room types that have King beds capable of being converted into Twin configuration. Rather than choosing a set amount of rooms to sell as "Twin" we would prefer to make it an OPTION for the guest to choose their bed configuration. That way the full quantity of splittable beds is available to sell on our booking engine. Additionally, from an operational perspective we know 100% which bed configuration guests require. Splitting beds (or combining them to a King) is very labour intensive and has cost implications from a linen/bedding perspective. Having clear options at…

  17. Mews sends automatically a charge mail to the mail address in the customer profile (for a physical card). But the card holder may be different e.g. a travel agency) and the customer is not supposed to knox the net price. Therefor it would be helpful to have a tick box on the charge screen: "Do not send charge mail to the client".

  18. Making it possible for contracted companies, which have a voucher code, to make a booking without credit card guarantee. Such companies can usually pay on invoice or upon arrival.
    To do so, Mews would need to allow mapping rates (and not only room categories) in Distributor.

  19. We're facing difficulties in some properties where under aged guests are checking in online. There should be a way to stop those online check in. At the moment they could just pick up the key on the operator kiosk and go to the room. Therefore we would accommodate them, without knowing they are under the allowed age, which is against the law. We do have the responsibility to control the age of the guest. This already happened and cause complains and frustrations on hotel and guest side.

  20. As a hotelier, I want to sell packages with special offers to my guests through Distributor.

    Example: Enjoy the Valentine day in our hotel! Weekend stay, romantic dinner for two and a bottle of Champagne for 599 EUR.

    I want these to be sold as packages rather than set up as special rates.
    I want them to look like special offer.
    I want them not to be limited to a specific date.
