  1. To place a limit on the number of rooms available to be booked in one go. Many properties consider 9+ rooms a group reservation that has different payment, cancellation and packaging rules. Currently one person could book out the entire hotel before being able to apply a dynamic rate adjustment to increasing occupancy.

  2. The requested feature is that guests can register on a wait list on fully booked dates with automatic email notifications for when rooms are again available on the desired date(s).

    This would remove any need for manual labor from the hotel side to handle wait lists.

    Example:
    - Guest tries to book a room Aug 1st - Aug 2nd
    - Hotel is fully booked
    - Guest opts in to our guest list by entering their email address
    - Hotel opens up for bookings on Aug 1st
    - Guest automatically receives email saying that the date(s) they searched for now have…

  3. Show "This period of stay requires a minimum of X nights" when minimum number of nights is required to book.
    Or even better: show all room types that would be available if booking more nights.

  4. We need more customization options in the mail templates. To create a new template and choose when it is sent would be greatly beneficial. We also need more options to customize the existing templates, we should be able to use all existing placeholders in all emails, so for example we could include just arrival date or number of guests, without departure date and rate.

  5. Allow customization on when a product should or shouldn't be shown to the guest.

    Some examples:

    • Don't show breakfast product for breakfast included rates
    • Restrict a product in the guest journey depending on minimum/maximum advance (will allow for gradually more expensive versions of the product as it gets closer to the date of stay)
    • Restrict a product for certain days of the week (only available on weekends)

  6. Currently a guest can only search for dates; checkin and checkout. Some guest have a strong preference for a particular apartment type and they want to know on which dates this apartment type is available. Currently this is not possible. Guest can only try a million times by entering dates and hope it is bookable. The solution can be calendar view or at least provide info on which dates there is the first availability. Apartment 'Superior' is available on July 25'th for 4 nights. With a calendar view (see AirBnb example) it is easy to see the free available spots.…

  7. We do not have a 24 hour front desk and do not want the ability for a guest to make a same day reservation after 9pm. Currently we can only set a restriction for the whole day, please add the ability to set a specific time.

  8. Properties are looking for more personalized experience. It's important to collect information such as allergies, personal preferences, arrival time, etc.

    It would be great if there was a flexibility to add additional fields in the booking engine (arrival, allergies, preferences, occasion for the stay) and give properties flexibility to collect this important data from their guests at the time of booking.

  10. As a hotelier, I want to sell packages with special offers to my guests through Distributor.

    Example: Enjoy the Valentine day in our hotel! Weekend stay, romantic dinner for two and a bottle of Champagne for 599 EUR.

    I want these to be sold as packages rather than set up as special rates.
    I want them to look like special offer.
    I want them not to be limited to a specific date.

  11. Enhance the booking engine to intelligently display add-on products based on the inclusions of the selected rate. Specifically, prevent the display of the breakfast add-on when the chosen rate already includes breakfast.

    Background:
    Currently, our booking engine is configured to offer both rates including anf excluding breakfast, allowing guests to add breakfast as an optional extra if it is not included. This approach works well for rates not including breakfast. However, when a rate that includes breakfast is the only option presented, the system still displays breakfast as an add-on.   12. Making it possible for contracted companies, which have a voucher code, to make a booking without credit card guarantee. Such companies can usually pay on invoice or upon arrival.
    To do so, Mews would need to allow mapping rates (and not only room categories) in Distributor.

  13. We have a large amount of room types that have King beds capable of being converted into Twin configuration. Rather than choosing a set amount of rooms to sell as "Twin" we would prefer to make it an OPTION for the guest to choose their bed configuration. That way the full quantity of splittable beds is available to sell on our booking engine. Additionally, from an operational perspective we know 100% which bed configuration guests require.   14. It would be really useful to have an option to shorten booking links directly within the platform, without having to rely on external websites like bit.ly or others. Currently, the booking link in Mews can get very long, which isn't ideal for sharing.

    I think this addition would improve the user experience, making it more efficient and streamlined.

  15. Integrate with Airbnb, Expedia and Booking.com directly including Chat API so that we can have a universal chat experience for our guests, currently we are having to use a clunky external system that provides a unified inbox.

    But it would be SOOOO much better if this was integrated directly into MEWS.

  16. We are expiring very unsatisfied guests who stays with us every week and is 'getting spammed with e-mails' both before and after each of their stay. We need to option to turn the automated e-mails off in the guest profile.

    These e-mails should still be sent to all new guests whereas returning guests seem to get VERY annoyed by receiving the same e-mails weekly in connection with their stays.

    Right now our only option is to completely remove their e-mail address from Mews which creates tons of issues with multiple guest profiles for the same guest, issues with sending confirmations…

  17. Display lowest available public rate in booking engine while selecting dates ( similar to SynXis booking engine), or show no availability.

  18. The design of the booking engine in MEWS feels somewhat outdated, and it would be great if the MEWS design team could suggest a more modern appearance. It’s a shame that the hotel’s logo at the top left is so small.

  19. When a reservation is done with 1 Adult + 1Child than the average price of the breakfast for both products will be displayed.Breakfast adults: 20€, Breakfast child 10€ then it displays 15€. This can be very confusing for guests + staff. It is better to display the price per each product and do not show the average price

  20. when booking multiple rooms, it should become possible to add ALL names for the rooms, especially when different room types are combined.

    we have several corporate clients for whom we provide a seperate booking engine, and they sometimes book multiple rooms at once but do wish to specify the name per room booked.
