Limiting number of rooms to be booked in one go
To place a limit on the number of rooms available to be booked in one go. Many properties consider 9+ rooms a group reservation that has different payment, cancellation and packaging rules. Currently one person could book out the entire hotel before being able to apply a dynamic rate adjustment to increasing occupancy.

Hotel with 50 rooms does not want volume / group bookings as it disrupts the ambiance. As other hotels have said as well, this does not allow for dynamic pricing to kick in so all rooms could be booked at a lower rate. Due to the frustration experienced by guests who will be able to book multiple rooms, only to be contacted afterwards and told we will not accept their booking, this is a critical issue that may prevent us from utilising the Mews' booking engine.

We are a small conference hotel and our business model is, that we sell our rooms for one group at a time.
To make this bookable, we need to restrict the booking to a minimum amount of rooms, for example minimum of 4 rooms. So that we can avoid that one guest books one room and blocks the remaining rooms by his attendance. This could be done as a restriction.

As a smaller hotel, we need the ability to be able to limit how many rooms can be booked by one customer for the same dates without contacting us first. We need the additional flexibility that this facility would give us.

Whilst our property is not as big as some hotels, we do need to be able to limit the number of rooms on one reservation so that we can have alternative cancellation policies, rates etc for group reservations. It would be best if properties can choose the number of rooms that constitute a 'group' reservation at their property.

This is vital, +9 rooms needs to go as an inquiry with separate T&C.

Hello, I would like to have a limit for the guests when they book on our websight, ex max five rooms. If they want to book more rooms they need to contact us as it is different cancellationrules and routines for payment, THX/Annette Livington Hotel, Sweden

During our high occupancy summer tourist season it is critical that we be able to limit the number of rooms someone can book.

Agree, we are currently having to deal with this manually, cancelling and rebooking people under group terms, which impacts reporting and creates unnecessary admin.

We've just joined Mews and wasn't even aware of this. Scary thought to be honest. We definitely would like to set a maximum reservation number at which time it would become a group booking with different T&C. The risk to the Hotel is incredible otherwise.

It should not be available to book on the website and should come directly to the group booking departments.
It should however tell the client that they cant book but this is now an enquiry and they can send it through to the property.

9+ rooms should be converted to an enquiry.

9 pulse rooms should have to go through the res/onsite res teams.

This is a very good point and something we would also like to see changed.
