  1. So if a Hotel has central Reception, guest need to go through different Kiosk Systems. Nice would be if they can choose the property first and then check in

  2. When a TA uses a generic email address to make a reservation, the new Booker functionality workflow will add the card to the booker (TA), not the actual guest, ending up with an endless list of cards attached to the TA profile.

  3. the employees at the front office who process early check-ins and therefore check the room status often start the check-in process because the room status is inspected, yet only because the room is not yet checked out. Only at check-out room status moves to dirty.

    Unfortunately, the pop-up on the tablet (Kiosk in staff mode) that the room is not ready for occupancy only comes after the guest has entered their data and signed.

    Would be great if there would be a sign if the room is still occupied, in the check-in screen or if the room moves to dirty…

  4. We would like to submit a few modifications regarding the Mews Booking Engine, which is used by a variety of hotels with different concepts.

    Choice of pictogram: We would like each user to have the option to select a pictogram based on the type of accommodation they manage, for example, a "house" pictogram instead of "bunk bed."

    Clarification on pricing: Below the price, it currently states "per room/per night." We request that this be changed to "per accommodation," and this should also apply in all languages version. Or give the possibility to choose if we want it per room or…

  5. The rates on registration card shouldn't appear for the bookings made through travel agency or any other third-party bookings. When we choose to show the rates on registration card and print all the card from reservation overview the rates appear for the all category of booking. Please assist with the same.

  6. In the configuration of the booking engine, you are able to select the maximum amount of adults per booking - but not the maximum amount of children.

    This feature would be nice to have.

  7. i like to have the same name screen for employees in the kiosk check in screen also for thre check out. in the check out screen you hav to type in the guest name even in the employee modus

It would make more sense if guests could fill in all the details that are needed in the registration form during the process of creating their booking on the website, instead of by online check-in form 48 hours before check-in. This way, you will have 100% online check-in guaranteed for direct bookings.

  9. Hi Mews Team,

    the online check out function is yet not available for all reservations. For example it is not possible to use the check out online for company reservations. We need this function available for all reservations.

    1. Enable online checkout for all reservations
    2. Guest need to change their billing adress during online check out. This is absolutely essential the prevent going customers to front office to change their company adress.
    3. The process must be easy and quick

  10. We would like to be able to remove the property logo from e-mail templates. The FAQ (https://help.mews.com/s/article/Can-I-remove-duplicate-property-logo-in-emails?language=en_US) now describes to remove the logo from your HTML template. However, we want to use a different logo in our mail templates versus the other places that the property logo appears (booking engine, invoices etc.).

  11. Have the ability to hide rates for the online check-in. This is required for agents (wholesale) or some OTAs (packaged rates) where the rates should not be communicated to the guests.
    This should be part of the rate configuration and also affect rate display on the confirmation emails.

  12. It would be great if relevant information for specific times can be shown as an alert message in the booking engine.
    Guest searches for a room during a certain periond and a message is getting shown, which is triggered by an either defined date range for the time of booking or time of stay.
    This would be helpful for:
    -restaurant closures during the time the guest does stay
    -renovations going on in the hotel
    -certain hotels services are not available during the staying period
    -could also be used for advertising special events in the hotel

  13. Since the new guest portal release, once a guest has checked in they are no longer able to edit their personal details including phone number or credit card.
    I'm not sure why this feature was removed? If a guest adds their info at the time of booking, it would be helpful if they can amend their own data if things were to change closer to their arrival time.

  15. Let the hotels decide if the guest's e-mail should be optional instead of default at the kiosk.

    Since it's not a legal requirement in DK it's critical for us that we cannot change it in the "Check-in form"

  16. Only request necessary data
    At the moment, the Austrian online check-in only asks for the data that is actually required by the authorities. In the kiosk, however, all data of all persons including address are requested. You should also set the same requirements in the kiosk as in the online check-in.

  18. To enhance guest experience and returning guest recognition it is required to share guest data between properties. This includes guest historical stays, preferences and complaints for all properties and not just the local one. Staff should then be easily recognize that this guest already stayed in another property to maintain best guest service.

  19. When people are entering from e.g. Google Hotel Ads the landing page is always the distributor link (technically it is not possible to link the ads to the widget integrated booking engine)

    Problem then is that users can not go to the homepage of the hotel directly.

    It is a learned & normal website usability that logos are clickable and lead to the homepage if a website.

    For me it is a must have.

  20. It would be great to be able to
    - setup public promotions / special offer campaigns like you can do on booking.com or expedia. Setup a special offer as a percentage or fixed amount discount based upon (a selection of) existing public rate, possibly with restrictions in terms of booking window and/or travel window, etc..
    - setup private discounts on (a selection of) existing rates with a promo code, for example a code returning guets can enter in the booking engine to access a returning booker discount on all rates ,...
    - above offers/discounts shall be also available for staff…
