change customer details when adding extra rooms
When using "add another reservation" it should be possible to change guest/customer name. Instead of adding rooms for same person

Thank you for sharing your request with us. It is currently possible to add a new guest profile when adding another reservation to an existing group.
In order to do this, you can click on the add another reservation button > Mews will pre-fill the date range and open the second step of the new reservation screen > In the customer section select the "X" to remove the current profile that has been pre-filled and add the name of the new customer you would like to add. This will create a new reservation with the name of the new customer to your group.

Add total occupancy for each day at the bottom of the Timeline so we can quickly see how many people are staying. Wouldnt need to click around with reports if it just did a simple totalling sum, the old Hotel Perfect had that and was extreemly useful.

rate description to be added as internal note in reservation
In hotels with many (corporate) rates where every rate has different cancellation terms, different benefits etc...front desk staff has difficulties to know what benefits are linked to certain rates. Displaying the rate description as a note in each reservation would help Front Desk to correctly inform guest.
Specific example: if a company with a corporate rate is entitled to a discount on our parking price (when the guest uses parking), it would be useful that when a reservation is created with that company rate...an automatic note appears: corporate rate with breakfast, 6PM cancellation policy and 10% on parking.

Change PAX on inhouse reservations
What we would like is to be able to change the PAX on a nightly basis.
E.g.
"Guest A" has reserved a room for 5 nights. On night 1,2,3 Guest A stays in the room alone. Night 4 & 5 "Guest B" will join "Guest A" in the same room.
As for now we have no possibility to change the amount adults/children since there's already products that has been consumed previous nights. (breakfast --> via product rule)

Merge guest profiles based on multiple details
When guest make reservations via booking.com, expedia... most of the time we only receive a telephone number or address. The e-mail address is in 99% of the cases one generated by the OTA to mask the guests email. Therefore it would be very convenient if Mews would merge profiles based on other similarities as well. This would make it easier to identify guests who have already stayed with us previously.

Mews Native Channel Manager
Add Channel Manager to a product portfolio to reduce cost of using a 3rd party channel manager.
5 votesThanks for the submission. We have a direct integration with booking.com, and are considering some of the other major channels as well. However this is very time consuming in both development as well as maintenance. It is currently unlikely we'll be able to fully cover channel management like the channel managers today can.

Show support history in customer communications
It is a real shame, that in your support email replies you cannot include at the bottom the initial requests which shows a detailed explanation of the issue submitted.
So one has to always dig back to find out what one originally said in a previous email. With several tickets open this can get really confusing.

High-end properties tend to have multiple tiers of VIP guests.

Salutations, honorifics, titles
In an openminded world or openminded city and with an openminded PMS salutations like Mr., Mrs. and Ms. are not enough.
Please add at least Mx. Actually we had several complaints from guests AND staff that we are ignoring other genders.
Best would be: Make a list with salutations, honorifics and titles for the registration card. The admin can choose which ones should be offered to the guest/staff.
I know that not every MEWS user needs all these honorifics, salutations or titles, but a bigger list with the most common abbreviations should be possible.

Adjusting length of the e-mail queue
Please adjust the length of the e-mail queue to one year. I can look back for four months, but we book one year ahead. So this means that for most of my guests, I cannot see the confirmation e-mail. If the guest does not have it themselves, I cannot prove that and what they booked with us (which is very awkward as you can imagine).

verify guests before they check in
Properties in the US and Canada verify identification of each guest who have made a reservation. Mews doesn't support automatic verification of guests making contacless check-in natively in Mews not sufficient.
There is no possibility of any information from ID to be scanned; or the identity of a guest verified upon arrival.

enable adding a reference or po number under a company on the reservation (similar to TA number)
we invoice companies and often have to add a reference or po number. currently this is only able to do as part of a travel agency booking. which means you have to assign an agent, add your reference number, delete the agent.

improve conditional rate settlement triggers (Physical vs Virtual cards)
At the moment, if you set up a rate automation for OTA rates, the same trigger will be used for both virtual and physical credit cards. Ideally, there would be extra conditional fields in an "if this, then that" format. For example:
If Card type = Physical, then charge on confirmation
If card type = virtual, then charge on start dayThis conditionality format would also allow for less rate groups, and increased flexibility if other conditions are also created. It could be implemented with an advanced settings button to keep the current layout as simple as possible.

Debtor partial settlement
It will be great if you could post and close a partial settlement for a debtor. That means that you can deduct automatically this payment and eventually issue invoice again in debtor.

Option for mandatory User-Two-factor authentication
Currently a user can set a Two-factor authentication for his/her account.
I would like to see an option in the employee settings to force Two-factor authentication for specific accounts. (tick box or similar)
We would use this for all admins and user with many rights as they are sensitive.

Create task when credit card on file is expired for an upcoming reservation
If reservations are made far in advance it may occure that a guests credit card won't be valid anymore when the payment is due. Therefore, a task should be created when a card is expired, so we can contact the guests and ask them to update their card details. In an ideal world, an email template could be created so this can be automated.
