  1. I would love to see a standalone version of mews that doesn't run on a browser.

    This would have two key benefits:

    • much faster loading times. We suffer from incredibly slow operating speeds all through mews, every time we press a button it has to spend time loading, which in cue means customers have to wait longer. creating terrible customer experience.

    • ability to have an offline mode. We also suffer not only from occasional mews outages, due to slow/unresponsive actions - but also bad internet where we are, which can often be very temperamental and drop out often during adverse…

  2. It would be useful to have a mail template to be sent a few days before the guest arrival, as a reminder, but also to let them have directions to the hotel, useful info regarding events during their stay etc.

    Hi Mewsers!
    We have template called “Before start” which is automatically sent 48 hours before the guest’s arrival.

    This template is partially customizable. You can customize Subject, Headline, and Paragraph. (please see the attachment)

  3. Currently the favicons in the browser tabs look the same for these two sites, which makes navigating between multiple tabs longer than it should (say you have 2 help pages open and 2 MEWS tabs - jumping between them can be tedious since the tab (fav)icons are the same.

  4. Use case:
    - We have an internal tool, synchronized via API with MEWS. We have access to Reservations, Customers, etc.
    - In our internal tool, we identify one Reservation (id-id = X, property-id = Y). In same internal reservation page details, we want to include a link to open MEWS in that reservation details: https://www.mews.li/Commander/Reservation/Detail/X?property-id=Y

  5. Create limited stock for the different product solded.
    For example, if we sold parking spot, and we have a limited number of them.
    it will be perfect if we can't sell more space than we have, without hve checking every day.

  6. In the case where there are long term guests that wish to pay weekly. You can have a card saved in their profile and charge weekly accordingly.

    This would help alot with hostels who have staff working in the area for long periods at a time.

  8. It would be great that we could set a ring/bell signal for some urgent tasks, like for: Late check out, wake-up call, any other urgent task. So you hear that something urgent needs to be done, also when you do not look at the desktop screen.

  9. First of all: I like that there is a symbol / notification in Commander (in the top right) for new releases.

    But once I have clicked on it, I would like that it disappears, also after logging out and back in.

    It basically should only appear, once there is a new release note. Because like that I always know that there is something new I should read.
    But if I receive a notification (--> the icon shows up in the top right), but there is no new release note, it's a bit frustrating if there is no new release note.

  11. Now, the automatic reminder and cancellation e-mails are send to the guest and not the booker. Even if the guest has no e-mail, the booker (or anybody else) does not receive an automatic reminder and cancellation. As we have a agreement with the booker and not with the guest, it should be the booker who must receive the automatic reminder and cancellations. Now, bookings are being canceled automatically (when not reconfirmed before the deadline), without notifying the booker, who did originally receive the confirmation. This is a major flaw of MEWS. The booker should receive automatic reminders and cancellations!

  15. The way we upload photos today in space categories is... archaic. One photo at a time, no tags, no way to describe the photo. The way you move photos order is also not efficient.

    For a company like ours who has sometimes 50 photos per chalet, it's a nightmare :)

    Please build a real "media section", where you can upload as many photos / videos as you want in one time. You could add tags and description for each photo / video.

  16. Configuration setting which allows us to Swop number of adults in reservation screen van low to high.
    By default its set to highest number of users, while our business services predominantly 1 persons in dorm types.
    We notice many wrong bookings are made, since its set by default on 1.

    Could we please get a choice on whether we display 1 adult before 2 adults.

  17. Would be great if we can lock certain company profiles.
    So we can ensure its not overridden. Some integrating parties use these, and when deleted integrations may break. Also in certain countries specific fields are required. Would be great if we could also lock these for modification such as VAT fields/ Code fisc. etc.

  18. For properties that do not have 24/7 coverage it would be nice to activate an automatic reply for the messages to mention e.g. that the property will reply within 12hrs or the next day.

  20. Currently you can book adults or children into a space. However, particularly in hostels, some rooms aren't suitable for children. eg. you shouldn't be allowed to book a 10 year old into our 28 bed dorm on their own.
