  1. Currently, the Mews Kiosk screensaver always displays "Check-in" throughout the day. However, in the morning, the primary action for many guests is checking out, not checking in.

    To improve guest experience and streamline the process, we propose that the screensaver dynamically updates based on the time of day:
    - Morning hours (e.g., 06:00 - 12:00) → Display "Checkout"
    - Afternoon & evening (e.g., 12:00 - 06:00) → Display "Check-in"

    This small change would make it clearer for guests, reducing confusion and ensuring a smoother self-service experience.

  2. It would be a great idea to implement a “+ / –” button in the Mews Booking Engine, allowing guests to select the desired quantity of certain products.
    At the moment, products such as “baby cot”, “gym access”, or “room upgrade” are usually added as one unit, which makes perfect sense. However, for other types of products like soft drinks, mineral water, or snacks, the system still defaults to one unit, even though guests may want to purchase multiple quantities (e.g., 7 cans of Coca-Cola and 6 bottles of mineral water).

  3. When we review the camera footage of guests using the kiosk, we see a very clear pattern. Most guests find the steps logical and understand the payment process well. The final step, where the guest needs to take a card and place it on the key encoder, is where things start to get messy, and guests often end up ringing the bell for assistance.

    I actually think it would be a smart idea for Mews to consider offering pre-built, fully integrated kiosks as an add-on to their solution.

  4. It would be nice that the option to skip automatic settlements that can be set for specific travel companies would actually WORK also when dealing with VCCs (virtual credit cards). Apparently the option works for every other payment method, but as soon as the system sees a virtual card POOF! "sorry, I cannot follow such a complicated train of thought, I have to try and charge the given card exactly as told in the payment policies, I don't care that you manually ordered me to skip the automatic settlements"... I mean - WHY?? :P

  6. The preferred space features of the internal > guest profile, should be the same as those we customize for bookable services. This would make this feature really useful. Otherwise, I don't think we're providing the right experience for the guest.

  7. Wenn wir potentiellen Gästen mehrere Zimmer offerieren wollen, wäre es cool, dass jedes Zimmer im E-Mail einzeln gebucht werden kann. Also das man entscheiden will ob es ein Gast ist mit einem Zimmer aber er möchte verschiedene Zimmeroptionen, oder ob es eine Anfrage ist mit mehreren Zimmern, welche dann alle bestätigt werden (so ist es im Moment). Es wäre sehr Hilfreich, damit der Gast nicht 4-5 verschiedene E-Mails erhält und direkt buchen kann, wenn ihm eine Zimmerkategorie gefällt.

  9. Es gibt eine neue Funktion im Kiosk. Am Ende des Check-ins wird die Bestellungsübersicht angezeigt. Diese lässt sich aktuell nicht deaktivieren. Dies ist aber sehr wichtig, da es genug Buchungen gibt, wo der Gast die Preise nicht sehen darf. Zum Beispiel Reiseveranstalterpreise.
    Von eurem Support wurde vorgeschlagen folgendes anzufragen:

  10. Kiosk check-in for grouped reservations sends Check in summary email only to the reservation owner for all checked in rooms/guests in the group, even when additional guest create separate guest profiles while checking in on kiosk.
    It would be great to send Check in summary email to the each guest profile created on kiosk during online/kiosk check in.

  11. Currently, it is not possible to send any notes or remarks with the quotations. The quotation is sent with one template (yes, it can be customized but this will affect all quotationss sent, and it should be addressed individuall). It would be useful if we could add a comment or a note each time we send a quotation so the guest can get more details.

    Practical example: When we are overbook, we like to send a new quotation instread of cancelling the roo. We woulc make an offer (optional reservation) to the guest with another room available. However, the guest…

  14. Da wir viele Anfragen von Veranstaltern bekommen, die die bereits gebuchten Zimmer innerhalb eines Verfügbarkeitsblocks inkl. Gastnamen wissen möchten, ist es für uns ein hoher Zeitaufwand immer wieder Namenslisten zu schicken und die noch verfügbaren Zimmer mitzuteilen.
    Daher wäre es gut, wenn es de Möglichkeit gibt, dass sich der Organisator oder ein Brautpaar für diesen speziellen Block mit einem eigenen Zugang einloggen kann um so die bereits getätigten Buchungen zu sehen.

    Alternativ wäre ein Export gut, der alle Blöcke anzeigt mit den bereits gebuchten und den noch verfügbaren Zimmern. Aktuell sind diese Informationen im Export vom Verfügbarkeitsblock-Bericht nicht vorhanden

  15. Please add a few empty placeholder for customized mails.

    Also, please add a mail template where you can offer more than one category at once. Guests should be able as well to choose the category they like by clicking or similar and not having to send an additional message to the hotel.

  16. It would be really useful to get a mail template for contracted business where it would be possible to display the different categories with the rates per night.

    It should be considered that the payment details and cancellation policies for contracted business is different than indipendent travellers.
    That would safe time for the staff and avoid misunderstandings too.

  17. As it is now it is only possible to send new messages to internal users. We would like it to be possible with guests as well.
    Meaning that we will be able to send messages to guests without them having done the online checkin or messaged us first.

  18. We offer the possibility of an early Check-in which begins at 12 PM. However, when the guests try to check in earlier the kiosk will allow the payment of the early check in and allow the check in.
    It would be nice if we could configure the kiosk to offer the posibility of an early check in only after 12 PM (which is the actual begin time of an early check in). At the moment this feature seems to be connected with guests being able to book an early check-in while checking in online. We find this option to be…

  19. In the booking engine we are offering the promo code option for direct bookers to receive instant discount. However this is only possible on 1 rate group, leading to stacked OTA (member) offers sometimes being more favorable.

    It would be great if we can develop a way to link 1 promo code to 2 rate groups to prevent this from happening
