  1. can we avoid manual work i.e. putting names / creating profiles when we receive rooming list for groups ?
    Anyway for Mews to read and process rooming list in Excel or Word form ?

  2. Having an overview of how many bookings were placed under the company name or to check if a reservation is already made, it would be very useful to have a dashboard just like in a guest profile.

  3. On the Mailing tab it would be convenient to see a list of emails that have been sent from that reservation.

    That way we can quickly ensure that Reservation Agents are not double sending emails and if the guest contacts us, we can quickly see what has been sent to them concerning that reservation.

  4. Currently when you click "Assign bill to company", you have to search for the company, even if it is already listed under the customer profile. It would be useful to have - as well as the search function - the customer's company automatically added to the pop-up so you don't have to search for it.

  5. Currently a user can set a Two-factor authentication for his/her account.

    I would like to see an option in the employee settings to force Two-factor authentication for specific accounts. (tick box or similar)

    We would use this for all admins and user with many rights as they are sensitive.

  6. We look for a report which lists reservations, that were checked-out with unbalanced bills.
    Few days ago, we checked-out a group, but forgot to issue the invoice the very same day and only realized this now. To make sure this has not happened before, we want to search for reservations, that are in the past but not paid or invoiced yet.

    Hi, thank you for your vote for this suggestion. In fact, this is already possible to see within Mews.


    Please navigate to the "Guests in house" report, which is available on the homepage dashboard, in the upper right corner under "Customers".


    Ensure that under Status, "Checked out" is selected, and that under Display options, "Balance" is selected. By selected your date range you should be able to view reservations which have been checked out but still have open balances remaining.

  7. Currently a user with only "Perform Housekeeping" rights can see a lot of financial reports!
    I don't imagine the cleaning staff at Mews Headquarters are allowed to see the daily revenue, so why should they (or 3rd party cleaning contractors) have access to our hotel financial data?

    • Posting Journal: Can be seen and has financial information about the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly revenue!

    • Payment Report: can be seen, has financial information. It can even see the cash going into the Cashier!

    • Accounting Ledger: can be seen and has financial information.

    • Bills and Invoices: Every invoice (anonymous) and its consumptions can be seen together…

  8. When an invoice is issues via mews, we still have to move the receivable manually to a paymaster. It would be great if a paymaster could be linked to a company, so all invoices are moved automatically and thus avoid unnecessary actions.

  9. At the time, I can only create a restriction for one rate or rate group at a time. I would have to create multiple restrictions to cove two rate codes. For example, I would like to create a 2-night minimum for my Airbnb rate (Travel Agent Group) & all my rates that flow off the best flex rate. So I have to create 2 different restrictions and keep up with changing both when I make changes.

  10. EN version :
    When having a big rooming list , instead of going room by room then "group" then "last name" and "first name" - we could get a MEWS template on how to fill those names so it can be directly integrated into mews with a drag an drop file.

    At least when there is 1 to 2 person in the room :)

  11. When using "add another reservation" it should be possible to change guest/customer name. Instead of adding rooms for same person

    Hello Agnes,


    Thank you for sharing your request with us. It is currently possible to add a new guest profile when adding another reservation to an existing group.


    In order to do this, you can click on the  add another reservation button > Mews will pre-fill the date range and open the second step of the new reservation screen > In the customer section select the "X" to remove the current profile that has been pre-filled and add the name of the new customer you would like to add. This will create a new reservation with the name of the new customer to your group.

  12. Availability Blocks no longer copy rates from the BAR, even if setup to do so. Instead these load Base Rate with weights.

    This old school way of Groups pricing is no longer viable for properties with advanced RMS where each room is being priced fully dynamically and independently.

    Please bring back that functionality to this absolutely great feature. Since the availability blocks were introduced, our Groups managers cut hours spent on having to manually process each quotation. But without this pricing in there, the tool became useless, unfortunately.

  13. When working with corporate customers, conferences or groups; the number of same items on a bill, make for very lengthy bills which are difficult to read and process. We would like to see that when there is more than one item of the same product, that these are added up.

    For example, instead of 10 lines with 1 drink in each line. We want to see 1 line with 10 drinks and the total amount to be paid.

  14. we are not able to see anywhere the list of names when doing a search. not when making a booking, not when adding a guest to a booking, nothing nowhere.
    this is a huge issue as bookings can't be completed or amended and mistakes are being made. can't even add a booker who has now asked me twice already for the payment link to be sent to her!!!!!!!!!

  15. Please allow for different room quantity allotments over each date to reflect typical room block patterns. Currently, I can only enter the same amount of rooms over each date, that is not how blocks usually work and it prevents me from easily entering the rooming list in the block once it goes definite.

    Hi Kenna,


    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is currently possible to set room quantity per day, per space category in a block.


    In order to do this, click the "Adjust" button on the block dashboard > Select a date where you'd like to remove availability and manual enter the number. This action can be done for any date within the block, whereas the bulk update option allows you to set different room quantities for a selected period.

  16. until recently I was able to send emails to guests from my cell phone. Something has changed and now I am not able to access the send button so I can't send emails from my phone anymore.
    I could do this, then it recently changed, I sent an email and it was updated, but just went back to not being an option a week ago :(

  17. Be able to add address or company's name if we make a mistake after closing the bill. The current SOP in place for this is not efficient and too complicated.

    We have now released the ability to change the address on a closed bill or invoice, where credit note will be issued to balance out the original invoice and new bill/invoice will be issued with corrected address.

There should be way to process the authorization that was already made on the card to be processed to a complete charge while checking in the guest using the terminal where the preauthorization is sent to the terminal and guest will make sure it is the right amount and enter there pin if it is a debit card or enter the zip code for credit card or any other way so that there can be less chance for any guest to add a charge back case something like that as it will make sure the guest used the card by…

  20. It would be ideal to see the number of room nights per booking that have been cancelled when running a Reservation Report with "Status is Cancelled". At the moment the report generates with the number of nights all reported as ‘0’.

    In order to view the number of cancelled room nights in the reservation report, please ensure that your filters are set to the following 


    • Filter: Canceled
    • Status: Canceled


    The Status filter does not have the cancelled state loaded automatically, it must be manually selected in order to see the number of cancelled nights.
