  1. we are not able to see anywhere the list of names when doing a search. not when making a booking, not when adding a guest to a booking, nothing nowhere.
    this is a huge issue as bookings can't be completed or amended and mistakes are being made. can't even add a booker who has now asked me twice already for the payment link to be sent to her!!!!!!!!!

  2. Please allow for different room quantity allotments over each date to reflect typical room block patterns. Currently, I can only enter the same amount of rooms over each date, that is not how blocks usually work and it prevents me from easily entering the rooming list in the block once it goes definite.

    Hi Kenna,


    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is currently possible to set room quantity per day, per space category in a block.


    In order to do this, click the "Adjust" button on the block dashboard > Select a date where you'd like to remove availability and manual enter the number. This action can be done for any date within the block, whereas the bulk update option allows you to set different room quantities for a selected period.

  3. until recently I was able to send emails to guests from my cell phone. Something has changed and now I am not able to access the send button so I can't send emails from my phone anymore.
    I could do this, then it recently changed, I sent an email and it was updated, but just went back to not being an option a week ago :(

  4. Be able to add address or company's name if we make a mistake after closing the bill. The current SOP in place for this is not efficient and too complicated.

    Hi,


    We have now released the ability to change the address on a closed bill or invoice, where credit note will be issued to balance out the original invoice and new bill/invoice will be issued with corrected address.

There should be way to process the authorization that was already made on the card to be processed to a complete charge while checking in the guest using the terminal where the preauthorization is sent to the terminal and guest will make sure it is the right amount and enter there pin if it is a debit card or enter the zip code for credit card or any other way so that there can be less chance for any guest to add a charge back case something like that as it will make sure the guest used the card by…

  7. It would be ideal to see the number of room nights per booking that have been cancelled when running a Reservation Report with "Status is Cancelled". At the moment the report generates with the number of nights all reported as ‘0’.

    In order to view the number of cancelled room nights in the reservation report, please ensure that your filters are set to the following 


    • Filter: Canceled
    • Status: Canceled


    The Status filter does not have the cancelled state loaded automatically, it must be manually selected in order to see the number of cancelled nights.

  8. In a big chain with 12500+ travel agents, it is a must to being able to look on IATA number. A lot of TA's have the same name but may have another IATA number.

  9. i am trying to make a new booking for a guest as part of a "group".
    however, the system does not let me chose the correct service option and insists i book a cot instead of an apartment.
    totally pointless.
    i do not wish to make a new reservation from the guest profile as i wish to keep all the other information of the current booking. reason is that there is a short break in the existing booking and not a complete new one.
    thank you for investigating and fixing.
    PS - this is not the first time this happens…

  10. Insert a day by day rate per block manually instead of selecting an existing rate that has the wrong prices. Because we don't have fix block prices and maybe there are multiple blocks for one day with another rate.

  11. MEWS currently does not support allotment.
    For a property with a lot of allotments contracts in place throughout the year and some with release on different dates i.e 1 room on 2 days release, 3 rooms on 5 days release etc. this is not manageable through the current block feature as there can only be one release date. Hence, all allotments need to be entered as individual blocks (which could be a very large number rather than just one block covering the whole year), this is just not sustainable. The alternative is to enter bookings as optional with release dates…

    In this video, I am excited to introduce you to the next chapter of Group Management in Mews with Allotments.


    Allotments is a combination of multiple features that allow for better contract management with travel agencies and corporate groups. I will highlight key elements, such as multiple release rules and pick-up distribution, which provide more flexibility and automation.

  13. In MEWS we have some old stay services which we dont use anymore but cannot delete because there are old reservations one.

    I tried to change the display order in the stay service settings however this doesnt pull through on all screens.
    E.g. homepage, reports and timeline.
    When we are working in the account we need to keep changing the view from the old stay service to the actual active stay service.

  14. once you have made a booking for a room, you seem to be unable to duplicate it and add a different service (like parking or cot). you should get the ability to change this when making the duplicate as the cot and parking are in general for the same dates as the room booking

    Hi, to create new reservation of another bookable service linked to a reservation of the accommodation, please, use Reservation group functionality. 


    You can use the same dates, details etc - just use the "Add another reservation" button in the Reservation flow.

  15. With the new availability report I am missing the calendar dates.
    What is important to check the availability for example with close-out dates.

    Is it possible to add the calendar to the new availability report ?

    This would really help. Now I am still working with the old report.

  16. Availability block report there are two statuses: optional & Confirmed. I would request that you can also have a cancelled state aswell. That way you can have a overview of all cancelled blocks, statistics regarding which blocks were picked up and easier communication within the hotel and the booker.

  17. If a guest arrives but their room is not ready, could we possibly have a flag or change of colour to show that they're waiting for their room. This way when the room is ready we can let the guest know asap.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is currently possible to view the name of a guest the has checked in from the Mews Mobile app from the spaces section.


    In order to view this information, select a room, scroll down and you will be able to see the name and details of a reservation that is currently in a room.

  19. If we have to cancel an invoice, there should be an option to keep the products for the new invoice and not have to re-enter all the items. It happens so often that the guest calls and the invoice needs to be made out to the company after all and you have to re-enter everything. This needs too much time!!

  20. Bookable services can be deleted only if there is no reservation under them (including cancelled reservations).

    It is not possible to delete theme because access to these reservations might be needed in the future. However, it might be possible to deactivate/archive them, keeping the old data accessible in certain areas of the system.

    Hello, it's Martin here, from Mews.


    Today, we are releasing service deletion for services with past reservations.


    Bookable service can be deleted when there are no future or ongoing reservations attached to it. Also, there must be no automated exports, no service promotions and no integrations linked to the service.


    The functionality is only available to users with permission to create and manage services.


    Data from deleted services will disappear from almost all areas of the system, so use the functionality wisely :-) The data will only be visible in the manager report. Old reservations from a deleted service can also be accessed through the dashboard on the customer profile.
