  1. There is no place to restrict for example reservations with specific rate codes to check in from the kiosk. This means that people that should have been forced to check in from the front desk for example for a registration of some type of gift cards, validation of employees on employee rates etc can check in through the kiosk without any form of validation.

  4. for age limited hostels / hotels, is there an option to automatically check in guests after a certain time, if they have completed online check in and their dob is between a certain range?

  5. We require a solution to accurately manage single room reservations where multiple guests (sharers) have varying arrival and departure dates within the booked period. The current system limits us to registering a static guest count for the entire stay, which results in inaccurate occupancy data and complex billing scenarios (especially concerning automated price codes like breakfast).

    Key Requirements (The Three Needs)
    To correctly support shared rooms with dynamic occupancy, the system must address the following three critical needs:

  6. We found that some cancellation policy methods feel unclear to guests who book last-minute, and after reviewing the logic behind them, I can confirm that the behavior is due to a current system limitation. But it still needs to be fixed.
    One of the reservations was created on 11/5/2025 at 2:30:56 PM, and the system shows the following rules:
    • Confirmation: IDR 0.00, 50% (Standard Rate)
    • 60 days before check-in: IDR 0.00, 100% (Standard Rate)
    However, the confirmation email displays something completely different:
    • Cancellation after 11/5/2025 2:30:56 PM: fee of 50%
    • Cancellation after 9/18/2025 2:00:00 PM: fee…

  7. Idea:

    It would be extremely useful to introduce two new restriction options that control rate availability based on room count – both on the reservation level and the daily inventory level. These are different use cases but equally important for pricing strategies.

    • Reservation-based restriction: Min/Max rooms per booking What we need:

    A setting that makes a rate bookable only from X rooms or only up to X rooms within one reservation.

    Why:

    Group rates: Should appear only when a reservation contains at least 10 rooms.

    Promo / early bird / code rates: Should be limited to a small number of…

  8. Dear MEWS Team,

    I would like to share a suggestion regarding the Timeline view, which has a huge yet unexpressed potential.

    While visually clean, it does not leverage one of the most powerful tools for operational efficiency: colour-coding.

    Color can instantly convey information that, otherwise, requires opening each booking or navigating multiple sections. Introducing colour indicators directly on the Timeline could transform it into a true operational dashboard, providing immediate, high-impact insights for the front office and reservations teams.

    Here are some examples of what colour-coding could highlight:
    • Payment Status (e.g., prepaid, pending, partially paid, failed)

  9. Sería de gran ayuda un permiso de Usuario que permita saltar restricciones de tarifas a la hora de introducir reservas.

    En nuestro caso trabajamos con tarifas que están limitadas por mínimas y máximas estancias de x noches. Y en ocasiones tenemos que hacer excepciones para prolongaciones de clientes.

    Así que nos vemos obligados a quitar la restricción para poder introducir la reserva, y volver a ponerla.

    Esto se solucionaría con un permiso para saltar restricciones.

  10. I’m missing a proper script for check-in at the reception, which would make the process more structured and consistent, while ensuring that important steps are not overlooked.

    I imagine a button such as “Auto Check-In”, which would clearly guide the staff through the following steps:

    Settle or verify the guest folio if not already done

    Check and acknowledge the guest’s loyalty membership status, or invite them to join the program

    Offer upselling or room upgrades

    Generate the key

    Confirm check-in completion

    As I see it, this would ensure that all critical steps are followed and that the process is handled…

  11. When adding a product to an open bill, even though the product is linked to the reservation, if the reservation is canceleld the productstays charged. Any product that is linked to a reservation, wether it is a bookable product or not should be cancelled automatically when the reservation is cancelled.

  12. Since some days the timeline always jumps/ changes in a way that the reservation clicked on appears in the middle of the window on the left side. Also if you just want to move a reservation to another space. This is really annoying.

  13. Automatische Suche/ Eingabe von Bundesländern. Ich empfinde es als äußerst mühsam, die Bundesländer selbst "auswählen zu müssen". Speziell wird bei Bundesland dann nicht nur die Österreichischen Bundesländer angezeigt - sonder alle (aus Italien, Deutschland, Schweiz). Trotz das ich bereits Land Österreich ausgwählt hätte.
    In Zeiter der Digitalisierung und KI - sollte das Programm von der Postleitzahl und Land - das Bundesland selbst "raussuchen können". Ich selbst benutze zu 90% dazu auch Google

  14. To enhance the visibility and usability of the loyalty program interface by introducing tier-based color differentiation for the loyalty icon. This change aims to improve user experience for both guests and staff by making member status instantly recognizable.   15. When searching for merge of Customer profiles, is it possible to add a filter, so that similar profiles with existing profiles at the hotel (reservation +1) to be shown on the list? Instead of only the name and email ?
    For exp Daniel Andersen (Reservation +1) and possible email ?
    This would make the merging of customer profiles a bit quicker !

  16. As a hotel that operates fully digitally with self check-in and digital keys, we’ve occasionally encountered cases where a guest was accidentally checked in on Mews, even though their reservation balance hadn’t been paid.

    To avoid such situations, it would be great to have a restriction option that prevents Mews users from checking in guests until their outstanding balance is settled.

    Ideally, this restriction could be configurable, allowing exceptions for certain segments, such as corporate or group bookings that have agreements to pay after the stay.

  17. Have the possibility to create a copy of an existing block reservation and just change the dates, booker, room types, price, room amount if needed. If the same company has a series of blocks we can just make a copy of the first block and change the details

  18. We often have large groups of guests with on all rooms the same items booked. If we make a mistake, or something changes in the booking, we have to go room by room to cancel the wrong item. It would be great that if you select rooms with the same items on them, ( because you add the items to all the roms at the same time) you can also remove them all together.

  19. Problem: When posting Bookable service items for the entire posting period, users can’t set a custom price and must edit each day individually, which is slow and error prone.

    Request: Allow entering a single unit price or a total amount at posting time for Bookable service items; the system applies or distributes it across all days. Add a one click bulk edit to update the price of all already posted daily items in a period at once
