  1. We would really appreciate having the option for parking to be automatically marked as “checked-in” once the guest checks into their room and also automatically adding the parking booked on the bill to the timeline of Parking Service.

    Currently, having to switch between services to manually check in the parking is inconvenient and time-consuming, especially during busy check-in times. Automating this step would greatly improve front desk efficiency.

    Additionally, it would be very helpful to have a “parking” icon displayed in the guest profile, so we can quickly see who has a parking spot.

  2. We would like to be able to set priorities for multiple Cancellation policies within the same Rate group. For example if the rate group has 30 days cancellation policy, but also needs to apply free cancellation within 24hr after confirmation, if the booking was made less that 30 days prior to arrival, 24 hr free cacellation should kick in first and exclude 30 days cancellation policy.

  3. Currently if a guest has a reservation with more than one bookable service, let's say a room and a parking spot, they cannot get a Digital Key for the room.

    The guest should always be offered a Digital Key when enabled on the property and the space, regardless of what other bookable service they have on the same reservation group.

  4. Seeing a marker on the timeline for reservations that are unpaid, have an open bill, or are carrying a balance would be a huge help for reservation teams. Even just a dot like Cloudbeds has.

  5. It would be prefered ou guest are be able to book multiple nights via online booking even though there are restrictions. We have high and low season and it is important that guests can book across them. For example, a Thursday - Saturday in October will be two different prices

  6. Would be very helpful if the dietary restrictions or allergies the guest enters on their profile to also appear on their booking in the timeline and not just under their profile. This will save us a huge amount of time

  8. I want the availability report to show not just the base room rate, but also the total price including products when a specific package is selected. Otherwise, it always displays the base rate from which the package price is derived, making the option to view all rates pointless.

  9. In the event of an early departure on which a reduced penalty has been allowed, it is currently not possible to adjust the lower penalty when the 'Apply Cancellation fee' box is selected, since that field only shows the related penalty charge.

    Can we have the option, from Mews Operations, to either apply the standard penalty charge, or, override it with a lower penalty instead? This will enable the automatic posting of the cancellation fee in a format that is compliant with the VAT exemption rule for Italian properties.

  10. The current product city tax functionality needs an urgent update to support a maximum night charge (e.g., up to 7 nights). Presently, the system applies the city tax to all reservation nights, requiring manual adjustments for exceeding nights. From a non-technical standpoint, this appears to be a configuration issue that could be easily resolved with a system enhancement. Resolving this is crucial, as manually adjusting the tax for each guest leads to significant problems: Guest Complaints: Incorrect charges directly impact guest satisfaction and generate unnecessary complaints.   12. Right now, it is only possible to see who has completed a digital registration card by navigating to a customer's profile. It would be helpful for registration card signatures to be tracked so the property can see who has and has not signed a registration card. Furthermore, some properties may require waivers. Right now the recommended way to include additional agreement terms is to add the text to the T&C document. There should be an option to add customized documents as well as the option to decide which documents should be trackable and uploaded to the customer profile.

  13. When you have the departure list open and select multiple rooms you sometimes get an error message that one room can not be checked out if it is already checked out or have an open biil. It would be great if the system checked out the remaning rooms that have been selected so you don't have to start over from the beginning if the page is not updated and you have selected multiple rooms for check out

  14. Flexible blocks. If I want to extend a reservation that is connected to a block, I have to go back and add rooms to the block before I can extend the reservation. With blocks that have been released I have to add the rooms twice (???), because the block releases them immediately after I save my changes, which is extremely time consuming and frustrating

  15. It would be very helpful if the Mews Terminal could also be used to scan ID cards and collect guest signatures. This functionality is already common in many other markets and would allow small hotels, who cannot afford a full Mews Kiosk setup, to still benefit from a more automated and integrated check-in process.

    Ideally, there would be a new button (similar to the current webcam scan option) in the guest profile. When clicked, it would initiate a flow on the Mews Terminal:

    The receptionist takes a photo of the front and back of the ID using the terminal’s camera.

  16. Besides the stay service we work with parking and bicycles. For example if the guests books a room including car park, the parking spot will be added as a "parking" service and gets assigned a unique reservation number.

    The problem that occurs now is that the room and parking are not linked together; meaning that when the room gets cancelled or amended, the parking spot will stay as it is and will need to be cancelled or amended manually.

    We are looking for a way to link the two types of spaces together.

  17. Different email templates (confirmation/ prestay++) for different seasons

    Situated in the middle of the mountains of Norway we run very differently summer and winter. Mews is great with giving the customers helpful information before the stay which makes it much easier for us at the reception. But: we need to re-write the templates two - three times per year, adjust them to winter info/ summer info/ autumn info.
    Maybe this is special for us, but I wonder if not also bigger hotels could think of adjusting pre-information to seasons like x-mas and summer breaks.

  18. We work extensively with product rules in Mews and have encountered a recurring challenge: the inability to define a start and end date for product rules. This limitation creates significant complications, particularly when we need to add or replace products in existing rules.

    When a product is added to an existing product rule, it is automatically applied to all future reservations, including those that were created before the change but have not yet been checked in. When you have a overbooking of a space category in the future, i.e. December, and you are creating an Availability Block on the a previous date, i.e. June, the overbooking reduces the availability of that space category in June as well. The availability calculation strategies diffusive or discrete, should have in consideration the actual dates of the booking in overbooking.
