  1. Would it be possible to include items or stay products to the routing rules? We book breakfast as a separate product, however this is included to the overnight charges paid over OTA.

  2. To setup 2 policies applicable to 1 rate who has different season instead of creating new rates for each season. The current system block guest from booking through 2 seasons. Example: A stay Dec 17 to Dec 25. December 17 to 20 is low season and December 21st to 25 is holiday/peak season. Low season is 1 policy and Peak/Holiday is 1 policy. Currently, I have 2 rates due to the policy issue.

  3. Due to the actual situation we have a high interest in walk in numbers. At the moment there is possibility to get a walk in figure. It can be only assumed reservations for the same day are walk ins, but its not clear at all. Therefore we request a walk in origin code which can be much better tracked.

Hello from the Mews product team,

Thank you for your suggestion. It is already possible to set up a start date and frequency for all scheduled reports. Please check this guide for more detailed information.

    Kind regards,

  5. Would like the ability to save favorite reports in Mews rather than have to reset the filters each time. We can save this for export, but if I only wish to view the report, I must reset the filters each time and remember the previous setting used. This is cumbersome and prone to mistakes.

If there was a favorite report section under the burger menu, it would be easy to access specific areas in Mews to display reports that are frequently used. These can be exported or printed, but in most cases, just need to be able to save the…

    Hi Robert,

    Thank you for the feedback.

It is currently possible to view your favorite reports with the filters preselected by using custom links. You can set this up by:

    1. Opening a report in Mews > select the filters you require.
    2. Click “View” to apply the filters.
    3. Copy the URL and paste it in as a custom link.
    4. Save your custom link and refresh the page
    5. You will now be able to access the report with pre-selected filters by opening the burger menu > select custom links > select the custom link you have created

It is also possible to access the custom links using a keyboard shortcut. You can learn more about both in the guide linked below:

    https://intercom.help/mews-systems/en/articles/4244312-create-modify-or-delete-a-custom-link

  6. Hello!

I work in the reception of a hotel where we have a lobby shop. When we go to billing on the paymaster account the list of products we can add is rather long, with the number of items we have.

Therefore I request the feature to collapse categories within the product list so that it is easier to find certain items/products in our list that we wish to add to the bill.

The collapse menu function could also be added to any menu where there are categorized lists for easier navigation when lists become long.

  7. Consumption date of once products is not shown on the Guest in house report. This report is used by the F&B team to determine whether a specific guest has purchased breakfast or not on a particular day. Product report does not show room numbers and therefore cannot be used when guests come to the restaurant.

Please add the consumption date of "Once" products so it can be easily visible on a single report without needing to add notes.

    Hi Mewsers!

We are very happy to inform you that we have officially released a new filter in the Guest in house report, that will allow you to view products consumed during the report’s selected interval.

We hope this update will help your teams handle the morning breakfast rush a little easier.

To learn more about the update, please visit our release notes page.

  8. Summarize invoices with multiple guest profiles by guest profile.
With group reservations or reservations with more than one guest profile the invoice turns out very chaotic i.e.:
Stay 1234 (guest name 1, stay dates)
    Staypackage
    City tax
Stay 1235 (guest name 2, stay dates)
    Staypackage
    City tax
Stay 1236 (guest name 3, stay dates)
    Staypackage
    City tax
    Dinner (guest name 1)
    Dinner (guest name 2)
    Dinner (guest name 3)
    Minibar (guest name 2)
    Minibar (guest name 1)

Would be great if could be ordered by guest profile i.e.:
Stay 1234 (guest name 1, stay dates)
    Staypackage
    City tax
    Dinner
    Minibar …

  9. Please remove the option to charge the customer card against all items under Unassigned.
This is causing operational problems, because is much easier to charge fully for current and future stays all together by mistake or while in a rush. The only way to prevent wrong charging is to manually move the charges to a New Bill.
    This is a technical disadvantage.

Old billings screen was able to prevent this as products for future reservations were kept on the left hand side. There was no option to collect payment against them.

  13. this is now the second or third day this is happening!
really annoying and wasting a lot of time having to refresh after every billing handling, especially as system has been really slow at times in the last two or three days.

  14. Would it be possible to pay per month and not per night? For exampe, our tenants stay at our residence 6 or 12 months. One month costs €510,-. Now I have to calculate it back to the costs per night. So for every month I have to divide the €510,- by 28, 30 or 31 nights. This almost never ends on a rounded number wich makes it a lot of work and the chance of making a mistake or typo is big. Please let me know if this would be possible.

Hello, monthly bookable services in Mews allow you to price your services on monthly basis: you do not have to define price for each night, you price full months and there is only one item (month) instead of 30 items (nights) on the bill.

In the coming months, the team will focus on improving the functionality for long stays (monthly reservations) and introduce pro-rating, flexible housekeeping and product posting. We are also looking into payments automation via direct debit.

Read more about the monthly services here.

  17. How is is not possible to move guests to another room, without making a new reservation or splitting a reservation. Too much work in to a simple action. Too much work where is no extra time for these trying times with too little employees.

    Hello Sjoerd,

Thank you for contacting the Mews Product team.

We currently offer several ways to move reservations including dragging and dropping reservations to another room from the timeline, as well as the ability to move reservations to another space from the status tab of the reservation screen or to a different space category from the properties tab on the reservations screen.

Below you will find a guide that will walk you through each of the options offered. Should you have any additional questions, please contact our support team.

  18. Is it possible to make the task field in MEWS bigger again so that you can drag the field to write info in it?

Before the update, you could drag the "Description" window larger using the arrows at the bottom right.
It would be great if that were possible again. Thank you in advance. Tina

    Hello Tina,

We are happy to inform you that we have added the ability to expand the task field back to Mews Operations.

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us. Please do continue sharing your feedback and requests so that we can continue to improve Mews.

  19. I don't mind the new billing screen, once you get used to it, it is quite easy to use.
One thing I would suggest is that in the new billing screen, we move a lot of items to Paymasters and we now can't see which item belongs to which guest

    It used to show as:
    Stay 1129 (Jane Smith, 1/12/2020-2/12/2020, Standard Room, 16) - $150

    Now shows as:
    Past, 1/12/2020-2/12/2020 - 1129 x1 - $150

    Hello Madelaine,

We apologies for the delayed response. However, we are happy to inform you that the functionality that you requested has been released.

You are currently able to see the name of a the original guest who owned a bill before it was moved to a paymaster account.

We hope this update will be helpful for your day to day tasks.

    Kind regards,
    Aldair

    Product Manager, MEWS

  20. like when you are scrolling up / down you condense the number of spaces displayed on the timeline, you should also be able to do that with the number of days displayed. It would be great if you would be able to see at least one full month on the timeline (ideally would be at least two months!)
