  1. Mews lists amenities on the individual room level.

    It makes more sense to list amenities on the room category level so that all rooms within a specific category come with a set of amenities.

    We would like to be able to turn off the sound when a notification comes in.
    when we are talking to guests, it is very annoying when we hear a 'ping' in our ear all the time.
    if it is also possible to turn off the notifications completely, that would be great.

  3. Being able to create Master and sub-blocks within availability blocks. Scenario: Conference blocks - representatives from different companies/company entities attending which need to be billed separately.

  4. If we have to cancel an invoice, there should be an option to keep the products for the new invoice and not have to re-enter all the items. It happens so often that the guest calls and the invoice needs to be made out to the company after all and you have to re-enter everything. This needs too much time!!

  5. It seems like Mews' operations reports are really horrible (in-house report, house status report, and other such reporting).

    Please advise if there is any plan to produce nice printable reports or even better email friendly reports. I see the Mews commander app > Spaces can provide this info but neither the app nor the web version nor the PDF printouts are visually appealing for operations reports. This needs to be addressed.

  6. When blocking a room (OOO), being able to select more than one bed/room and block them all in one time and as part of the same Out Of Order group.
    During COVID many properties have to reduce the availability and blocking beds is the only possibility we have sometimes. Allowing us to block more than one accommodation at the time will save us a lot of time and headaches.

    Hello from the Mews product team,

    We are very happy to announce that we have added reservation details in the task section of the Mews mobile app!

    You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.

    Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.

  10. Please include in the action log, if an email has been sent to the guest via Mews ie. confirmation, quotation, cancellation etc.

    Now that we have to manually send confirmation emails, it would be greatly beneficial to be able to check if this has been done.

Guest Credit Limit report to mitigate the risk of potential for bad debt write offs in the event of a client dispute and of being unable to recover monies owing, resulting in bad debt write-offs. Allows for a a daily review and follow up with guests when balance above hotel's limit. Ensure no guest ledger folios with cash status and debit balance outstanding.

  14. Make the invoice clearer by not putting taxes etc. on each item/line but only at the bottom of the invoice.
    Or if you need details in some countries, give us the possibility to choose the presentation style

  15. Bookable services can be deleted only if there is no reservation under them (including cancelled reservations).

    It is not possible to delete theme because access to these reservations might be needed in the future. However, it might be possible to deactivate/archive them, keeping the old data accessible in certain areas of the system.

  16. MEWS calculates prices with and without VAT per product and presents them per product on the invoice.

    At the end of the invoice MEWS presents the summary of the prices with and without VAT per VAT.

    On huge invoices the calculated and presented total price without VAT is not the same as the summary of the presented prices without VAT per product due rounding differences.

    Guests/companies/ accounting are complaining about this.

    THEREFORE PLEASE ADJUST and do not present the price per product without VAT per product. (only VAT in %, amount and price with VAT)

  17. we would really need and appreciate the possibility to be able to choose a date for an external payment. Right now, the date when you put it in mews is chosen, but we offen have bank transfers during the weekend that can only be put in mews on monday. It is very important for our accounting though to have the day of receiving the money in mews, not the day of recording in mews.

  18. Would be good to have the ability to have a mid - stay rate change.
    For example New Years eve package and additional nights on a BB rate. Currently have to make two separate reservations?

    Thank you for sharing your request with us. The email address field is currently in the reservations report export, would you be able to share your use case to have quick access to emails from the reservation report?

  20. Currently you can set "reservation assignment strategy" to manage how rooms are allocated to reservations (e.g. top down, bottom up etc.). This works well, except there are a couple of rooms that we would like to allocate as "last sell". i.e. all other rooms get allocated automatically according to the reservation assignment strategy, with the exception of certain room numbers, which would get allocated last if the hotel was to be fully occupied.
