Have a separate cancellation policy for group reservations where multiple rooms are concerned.
Currently, if a reservation is for multiple rooms, the cancellation policy remains the same as that of the rate group for which they were booked. It would be better, and easier to mitigate the risk of losing of a multi-room reservation, if there was an option of another cancellation policy being available once a minimum number of rooms have been reserved. This would allow us to change the cancellation period, meaning that they have to provide us with more notice of cancellation.

Optimize Bed Allcoation for Groups
Bed Allocation needs to be optimized in order for one guest profile/booking with several individual bed reservations (eg several beds within one room category) to be allocated in the same room instead of being separated into several rooms/floors. In a house with more than 80% of occupancy rate, there is no way to allocate guests in the same dorm.

Cancellation Policy for stay Products
At the moment cancellation Policy for products on a rate group is determined by that products way it is consumed, so say for instance I want to charge the guest for only the first night room tax and breakfast, the breakfast still gets charged for every day of the stay if it is defined to be consumed nightly. this leads to much manual work for frontdesk to be able to charge the cancellation fee correctly.
A way for the products to be charged a cancellation fee "individually" according to that specific rate group seems the way to adjust this.4 votesHello from the Mews product team. Simplify reservation screen
Reservation screen has multiple tabs - billing, payments, dashboard, profile. It takes a lot of steps to find all information and it doesn't sit in one place. Simplify getting around the reservation with all the details.

indicate mandatory fields
It would be helpful if there was a little asterisk or something to indicate which fields are mandatory to fill in in order to complete a check-in

search messages
a search function in the messages would be very helpful - or being able to see whether a guest has sent a message through MEWS in their profile/reservation.
For example if a guest asks to cancel and a cancellation/no-show fee would apply it would he useful to be able to check whether and when they requested this.
The CTRL+F command is quite tedious to use because it requires to load also older message first, and that is not ideal.7 votesHello from the Mews product team. If a reservation is made outside of the Availability Block for there to be a way to add it into the picked up reservations after the fact.

Ability to set credit limits on bookings
We would love the ability to set room charge/credit limits on customer accounts.
For example, if we would like a guest's room charge account to not exceed $300, it would be great if we could set a limit in MEWS so room charge function is blocked once guest hits $300. From an operations perspective, this would help limit excessive room charge bills. From a sales perspective, we often release promotions that include a set level of 'credit' for the guest to use inhouse on F&B at the property.

Add vacant dirty/clean/inspected or OOO list to easily capture room status's
When help is needed in the operation with stripping rooms, the ability to print a VD list, or VC, VI, OOO, & OOS.
This is basic hotel 101 operation when many employees are involved.Ex: houseperson going to take trash from VD rooms, Operations manager going to strip rooms of dirty linens. We all want to be on the same page and not be confused of who went where or who didn't go into a room.

Limitations for privilages - cant go beyoned price unless it was already paid for
Hello everyone,
we wanted to ask you if it is possible to create new privilage where as if we take pre-authorization for extrases for "x" sum, the receptionist would not be able to create extrases in value bigger then the "x". Therefore they wouldnt be able to add anything to guest unless it is already paid for.

Include online check-out TIME to the check-out report
Include the estimated departure TIME to the check-out report.
During the online check-out guests can choose the estimated departure time. Could we include this respond to the check-out report overview as a new column for example after the online check-out column?

Available rooms on opening screen
When you log into the PMS, it shows an occupancy chart and underneath how many arrivals, departures, etc there are for the next few days. However, it would also be good to show HOW MANY AVAILABLE ROOMS there are on each day for the next few days. And I mean rooms and NOT occupancy. So, if someone asks if we are fully booked or if there is availability in general, one can very quickly see that there are still rooms available before digging in further to see which rooms and room types are still free. Ideally and to be honest…

Make the old availability report available too
The old occupancy report is still available but not the previous availability report.
We used this report daily to modify the distribution between room types (mainly for internet channels to increase available single rooms and decrease double). It was easy to read, to modify and with a clear view on several future days.
The new report doesn’t give a direct view on number of rooms available for each room category. The table is also less convenient when it comes to change these rooms allocations (several sub-menus whereas the access was easier before).

We currently provide the option to swap back to the old Availability and Occupancy report, by selecting the button on the top right hand side of the new report labelled "Old Occupancy report. Selecting this button will switch you back to the old Occupancy report as requested. Once you are able to view the old Occupancy report, select the Availability under “Mode” filter.

Payment status color in arrival report
When we open our arrival donut report we would like to see really quickly who paid and who didn't pay.
For example: green dot-paid everyhing, yellow dot, an amount less than 50 euros to be paid and red dot more dan 50 euros to pay.

travel agent set up and search
I tried finding a specific travel agency today and discovered that you are not able to search in the travel agency contracts profile!
as they are not alphabetically or able to filter other than by country, it is sheer impossible to find anything!
is there please an improvement coming with regards to agents as this is the most time consuming an illogical part of Mews.
