Granular User Privileges
"By expanding user privilege assignment, admin users can now assign privileges to each employee with much more flexibility. Privileges can be organized with dependencies, and in addition to creating different assignable privilege sets, individual privileges can be granted or revoked according to each employee's operational duties."
A new solutions for permissions is now in progress

Restrict some users from being able to delete products within the reservation or billing. Either an approval code from a manager could be entered to allow them to delete it, or the manager themselves who has the permission deletes the product themselves

I have been attempting to limit the access front of office employees have to financial data or payment information which is both sensitive to the business and confidential. MEWS have informed me there is no way in preventing any employee who has access to changing housekeeping status to also view the financials of the business.
Please could I have some help or if anyone else is finding this as an issue. While creating different roles and users I tested this ability to view all financial information. Therefore, any user with housekeeping privilages can view any information within ‘Finance’ on the burger menu. This worries me as this is sensitive information I don’t believe Housekeeping or Front of House should have access to?

Access to reservations, but read only. This is useful for smaller properties where for example the security guard needs to check passports/ID to make sure the correct person is in front of them.
But then don't give them the access to make any changes to them.

This feature is extremely important and has always been a part of any hotel. Either a code or an access card is needed for refunds. Only managers should approve this.

I would be helpfull to have the option to hide the space allocation button. The button can be pressed accidently and courses a mess on a arrival day.
Maybe it would be a nice option if it is configurable as a user privilege so it can be hide per user.

This option, from the reservations screen, means that anyone can override without permission, consideration or consequence.
There is the same option within a reservation, which requires a reason and therefore is trackable / traceable to see who has done this and why.
The rate on the initial screen should not be adjustable. -

It should at least be visible to all employees which emails were sent and if the delivery was successful.

Occasionally, it happens that groups request extra rooms, on top of the allotment. Therefore, someone with overbooking privileges should also be able to book extra rooms from an availability block.
The only way at the moment is to adjust the availability block first and then add the extra confirmed rooms. It would be much more efficient if you could just book an extra room and thus have more than 100% pick-up.
This is also interesting from an analysis point of view, as you can immediately negotiate additional rooms in the block when you receive your next enquiry.

At front office staf should be able to see all email send through Mews. They contain no confidential communication, but basic information sunch as confirmation, payment failures etc.
Gaining access to the the information will enable the front office staff to better deal with communication as "I have just received....." where customers questions the communication they have received. -

At present, in order to facilitate work, I have granted Admin privilegies to almost anyone working at front office and reservations. So much to have different privilegies set up

Front Office Agents in our team would all appreciate being able to see which e-mails the guests have been sent from the system, especially things like booking/cancellation confirmations or invoices.

Really important. Giving every user admin rights in order to be able to work properly just doesn’t make sense in the long run. Pls integerstem this function at least for reception and reservation staff.

We'd like the access to guest email communication as a separate permission that could be applied to any Mews user. Primarily it would be out front-of-house and reservations staff that would be using it. Users would need to be able to see date & time the email was sent, which email address it was sent to, and should be able to view the full email itself.

It doesn't make any sense at all, that only administrators can see this. The staff at the reception normally is the one, to argue with the guests.

Hi,
If staff have the access for reservation they can override the rate in the "new reservation " screen. Is it possible to add a special permission for this ? -

Add a privilege to control who is able to revert cancelled reservations so that some users are able to revert cancelled reservations outside of the occupancy interval without having to adjust the occupancy interval setting.
