This status update is part of our ongoing work to simplify and streamline how our UserVoice feedback forum operates. Hotels would like to post a deposit on a group/company profile without having reservations. It can occur for group bookings, company credit, voucher bookings, or Non Ref bookings that were exceptionally canceled or postponed

An example of use case where there would be 2 cancelation policies for a rate group:
Rate group is PrePaid Non Refundable at the moment of confirmation.
CXL policy 1: If settlement fails when making the booking then reservation is canceled without fees.
CXL policy 2: If booking is canceled then apply cxl fees

t the moment when an optional reservation is made for a guest manually, the guest will receive an email from MEWS and they can just click on Confirm or Cancel.
When they Click on Confirm the optional reservation is immediately confirmed in MEWS but no paiement is required to confirm reservation
We want the system to only give the guest the possibility to Confirm the reservation once tthe payment is made
