Zapier: important customer data missing in the integration
I use Zapier to synchronise new and updated customers from Mews to Zapier and then to an email campaign provider to send out campaigns. There is a very important field that is not synced from Mews to Zapier: "send marketing mails". We all want to respect the GDPR, but then we need that important data field. :)

STR Segmentation via API
There is already a STR interface, but STR told me today that it's unable to pull segmentation via API. This is critical for us. Just pulling all revenue stats into "Totals" is not good enough for our hotels.

Automatically update Accounting Category on existing Service Orders when the Rate’s category is modified
Currently, when the Accounting Category linked to a Rate is changed, this update is not applied retroactively to the existing Service Orders (reservations) created with that rate.
This means that if a rate was initially linked to the wrong Accounting Category, all existing bookings will keep the incorrect category, even after the rate setup is corrected.Example:
If a rate was first linked to Leisure instead of Accommodation, and later the Accounting Category is fixed, the previous reservations still show Leisure and therefore report incorrect revenue data.Request:

Show reservation number for all payments in the payments API
In the Payments API, not all Payments are linked to a reservation number.
This makes it impossible to match off payments against invoices in an external accounting system. This is despite in some cases when looking at a payment in Mews it can be seen to be related to a reservation although sometimes the Reservation field is blank.
In some cases this is explained by someone paying for two or more rooms at the same time. But, this also needs a solution, as it would make sense for the single payment to be matched off against the multiple reservations.

Show additional fee charges via the payments API
For financial integration, the Payments API is currently not exposing the additional fee charges that are added days after the original payment. The API currently only contains the charges and fees taken on the day (except fees for payments using Alternative Payment methods, which is a separate issue known by Mews).
The Payout Report in Mews shows that in addition to these original payments and fees, a number of Commission Adjustments, that are recalculated fees from payments, 2 or more days previously, are added to the day's payout total. None of these Commission Adjustments are included in the API.

Allow Integrations to update Status to "OCI"
Integrations (like Duve or Ariane), basically all the ones that are capable of handling an online check-in flow should be able to change the reservation status to OCI concretely.
Perhaps they could have their own specific label & color (3rd Party OCI) to differentiate them from the Mews GX native OCI label.

Improving user experience by implementing substring matching, allowing incomplete inputs to return results, and fuzzy search to display relevant results even in case of minor typos.

Mews is calculating taxes on pretax value that gets from Channel manager
Mews is calculating taxes on pretax value that gets from Channel manager (Siteminder in our case) which results in difference of few cents in the total amount that Mews tries to charge VCC. In most cases charge fails because of 'isuficient funds' on VCC.
Solution can be implemented using the existing fields that are sent by SiteMinder to Mews, i.e. by adding the (i) pre-tax value and (ii) total taxes value, as the total would match the SiteMinder chargeable amount.3 votes -

Jedes Hotel in Deutschland muss jeden Monat seine Beherbergungsstatistik melden - Wie vielr Anreisen, wie viele Abreisen aus welchen Ländern pro Monat.
Der Skandal ist: Mews bietet KEINEN kompatiblem Export an.
Das muss sich sehr dringend ändern, da eine manuelle monatliche Eingabe absolut nicht zeitgemäß ist.
Bei all den tollen Integration die Mews bietet sollte es doch eine Kleinigkeit sein einen xml. Export zu programmieren, der auf der Seite des Statistischen Bundesamt mit den erforderlichen Informationen hochgeladen werden kann.

Resdiary - Default venue connected to Hotel
When reserving tables in the guest profile in Mews, the restaurant associated with the hotel the user is currently logged into should be automatically displayed.
Alternatively, the selection field should be left empty or include a prompt such as "Please select."

J'aimerais proposer de pouvoir appliquer des restrictions à des produits. Pour l'instant, il est seulement possible d'en créer pour des tarifs/groupes tarifaires.
Par exemple, nous voulons offrir l'option de réserver l'accès au circuit thermal de notre spa lors des réservations en ligne, toutefois, notre spa est fermé le lundi. De ce fait, nous ne pouvons ajouter cette option aux services supplémentaires puisque nous ne voulons pas que les gens puissent réserver pour cette journée spécifique. Si je mets le produit à 0$ pour les lundis, nous allons avoir des plaintes, donc ce n'est pas une solution pour nous. Ce…

Webhook or websocket notification for customer's address change and customer's identity document change
Currently there is no notification about changes to identity documents or changes to addresses of the customers. If you want to make sure that you have up-to-date information about customer's address and identity documents you have to query all customer's addresses and identity documents periodically.
Please create a webhook (or websocket) notification for these changes. As an alternative solution, you could trigger the 'CustomerUpdated' webhook when the address and/or identity document of the customer is updated.

Extend booking window of OpenGDS more than 365 days
Mews currently limits the interval length for the connection to the channel manager OpenGDS to 365 days. It would make sense to extend the interval length to 430 days, for example.

Space Upgrade: Auto-allocate Space when UPG Bid is made
When it comes to upgrades and space allocation, the internal flow is different for connector API than it is for channel mgr API, so Mews will not re-assign a new space based on the requested space category change, and the user will need to manually assign the spaces on the Mews side
It would be nice to consider adding that possibility so Mews can also send proper availability updates to the integrations as a result. Waiting on a user to act could potentially create unnecessary OVBs during high occupancy.

Rate check
Every Night we have to perform a 'Rate Check" to verify the details of the guests who check in in the next days are all correct in our system. This means comparing the Reservation Confirmation (as an Excel sheet) with other sources.
It would be helpful to be able to produce a standardised "Reservation sheet" just for this purpose with only a select number of columns (e.g. arrival date, departure date, products) as this would really speed up our process.

Sync restrictions in real time, not at the time of check in
Currently, if you set up a restriction in Mews, it will updated and pushed to your channel manager at the time of your check in, unless you proceed to a manual update. Why ?! If I want to limit sales or close them on a particular date on a specific chanel, I want it effective immediatly... Thanks.
