Impove Timeline visual appearance for improved working conditions & accessibility
We're new to MEWS and whilst the functionality is brilliant (thank you), our front of house team really struggle with the visual appearance of the timeline. Spending lots of screen time on a screen with poor visual appearance and contrasts is not healthy and inefficient as it is difficult to see the timeline at a glance - please could you look at improving visual contrasts both colours and lines between dates/spaces for improved accessibility.
Thank you very much

I find the color choices really strange. For example, when I see grey I think the reservation is from the past, when I see blue I don't feel like I need to do anything. It is not really logical if you don't know what it means.
My color proposal would be the following:
-Gray --> Past reservations
-Black--> Out of Order
-Blue--> To be checked in (Reservations of the day)
-Green --> Already checked in
-Orange--> To be checked out.
-Red--> The check out need to be done, the room was supposed to be checked out before.
-Clearer Grey / White --> future reservationsJust my humble opinion!
Kind regards,
Laura from Yalo Hotel Boutique Ghent.

Colours on the timeline are very faded into the background and it makes it hard to distinguish for example the red and orange. Maybe the whole room could highlight in the same colour for it to stand out more.

Agreed!
Boomer as I am, almost ready for reading glasses, can you imagine trying to see the difference between 50 shades of any colour... -

I totally agree. It should be possible to customise the colors in the timeline. That way it your be way easier to see who is checked in, out, stay over. Maybe even if it is a direct booker or OTA.

It would be very helpful If we could change the colour of the FEMALE dorms in the Timeline to prevent any issues. Thank you

We should be able to chose the colors displayed ourselves!

The colors on the timeline just make it more difficult to manage our inventory. Having the OOO rooms in a brighter color made it simple to track. Having everything in shades of grey is NOT an improvement

Totally agree - Its easy to lose the OOO rooms which were so simple to track with a glance previously - all grey is not an upgrade!!

New update changed calendar/timeline colors to 50 shades of gray, why!!!???
so,
Out of order: dark gray
Future stay: less dark gray
checked out: light grayWhy???
Departures: light blue
People checking in: light blueWho is designing your UI, probably same genius who designs your billing screens (old and new)

On the timeline, it's very hard to see the space statutes, especially it's hard to see the difference between blue and green when the lines are also very thin. Please make the colors of the timeline more powerful, like on the arrival overview.

Simple colours away from Grey Grey and a little Black needs to happen. The timeline should be alive and easy to understand what is happening without much more thought.
