Hi all,
Thanks to the current feedback, we decided to move back this idea to be upvoted.
We did release Mews Terminals, however, due to security reasons, we will not store that card for future use.
Most of the upvotes mentioned that they’d like that functionality – even though the current Mews terminal is a huge step towards automation – providing the possibility to charge or pre-authorize a card without the need to ask a guest to give you card details & where you’d need to type in manually back information to Mews…
Looking forward to hearing more about this!

I am happy to share the news that we have started to work on adding more flexibility to automated payments!
Our focus is to add more payment settlement rules that will reduce the manual time spent on payment processing and increase the flexibility around charging that your guests will love!

Just do it already (pretty please with sugar on top).
*&^%$#@!Booking.com and their "charge vcc the night after arrival" is very annoying, a lot of manual work and creates waiting at checkout when it's forgotten or done incorrect.

We are very happy to announce that we have added reservation details in the task section of the Mews mobile app!
You will now be able to view reservation details, as well as the room number of a reservation if there are tasks attached.
Selecting the room number will take you directly to the space where the reservation is currently assigned.

We have many rooms OOO for a longer period of time due to *&^%$#@! Corona (not because of maintenance or anything else).
We basically closed a floor to save costs.These rooms are not bookable but would like to see these OOO rooms calculated in (a separate) occupancy percentage to show what we sold, based on all rooms in the hotel
Example August:
Total rooms in hotel: 1302
Available rooms: 1111
Occupied rooms: 498
OOO room: 191
Occupancy on manager report (498/1111) = 45%
Occupancy including the OOO rooms (498/1302) = 38% -->> This is what I’m looking for as well.At the end of the day, this is the percentage of rooms sold of the total inventory.
Imho both percentages are important, especially these daysAn error occurred while saving the comment Steve commented
Would like to see OOO rooms calculated in the occupancy number.

Now you can add special events or notes in your Enterprise Settings. These show as an icon & note on the Timeline & Rate Management screens, and on the Availability and Occupancy reports.

The change in preauthorizations was released in 2022, unfortunately, we missed updating its status.
Now manually created preauthorizations through Mews Payments can be selected to expire up to 28 days from the creation day. Also, for automatically created preauthorizations Mews releases the preauthorization 24 hours after your property's configured check-out time.
