Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. The timeline should be ordered by number and not only by categories, as every PMS does, instead of showing only by categories. By categories, the timeline is a real mess, since you have room numbers totally mixed.

  2. Use case: Guest uses a specific voucher, when booking via the (Distributor) MEWS booking engine, which would trigger a task for reception staff (e.g. to prepare a welcome drink for the guest prior to the guest's arrival).

    Currently these tasks need to be created manually. This enhancement has the potential to save properties time, effecting an improved guest experience.

  3. It would be great if when changing the dates of a reservation in the properties tab you could have an option to keep the same price when changing the dates. This could be added as it is the apply cancellation fees, which you can select or not. Specially now with the Covid-19 crisis we are changing a lot of reservation dates keeping the conditions for our guests, and if the price of the new dates is higher than the price they had, when you change the dates the price per night is automatically updated.   4. Currently when modifying reservations, MEWS does not respect restrictions being in place.

    Ideally we would get a pop up in case, we modify a reservation that does not comply with the restrictions in place. So we can choose to except the modification that does not match sales strategy.

  5. Tasks that are automatically created for bookings based on rate code, company, travel agent or rate group. For example: with a special promo including a dinner all guests need to be contacted with regards to dietary restrictions OR
    all booking that are received from HRS the CC details still need to be retrieved from the extranet eetc. etc.

  6. currently there is a maximum stay of 365 nights. for our business that just isn't acceptable as we regularly have people stay for several years. we would need to split the reservation which would impact on reports and give falls data and comparison figures.
    fair enough if you want to build in a warning message if you book for more than 365 nights, but do not limit a business or allow each business to set their own limit of maximum stay.

  7. Address in the Reservation Report should be broken down and not in one cell. It leads to the impossibility to use those data.

    My use case is as follows:

    I would like to be able to select all guests coming from specific cities/countries to be more efficient and quick when communicating (specially relevant in terms of COVID when you have a lot of cancellations coming from certain countries/cities)

  9. When dealing with a booking extension ( checked-in) Mews automatically changes the room allocation to a new vacant room. This does not make any sense as the guest is already in house, and Mews should not be able to change by itself an In-house reservation. This is leading into a lot of check-ins into occupied rooms and therefore, guest complaints.

  10. Rather than having a long list all spaces, by making beds collapsible under their parent room, it will improve the user experience having a short list to scan through when making alterations.

Task linked to arrival / departure date - ensure you are able to link a task to a specific event in the reservation like the departure date; meaning that if the departure date changes, so thus the task. Ideally, you should also be able to set a plus or minus days for this link (i.e. check one day prior to departure if guest has returned the DVD player)

  12. When making optional bookings, this means we are holding a room/rooms but the booking is not confirmed.
    If this bookings is never confirmed, we should have an status called released instead of cancelled, as you are not really cancelling the booking, you are releasing the booking.

  14. we need a reason - test. We run tests in demo and smoke tests in prod.
    Would be great if we can take out cancellation statistics by this reason, in case they were test bookings

  15. we wish to be able to set a maximum limit of rooms bookable by a client (absolute limit and limit by room categories) in order to avoid privatization of the establishment, for example.

  16. IT BECOMES MORE CONFUSING WHILE SEARCHING A NO SHOW YOU NEED TO SEARCH THE CANCELLED RESERVATION AND IN DETAILS YOU GET THE NO SHOW BUT INSTEAD GIVE AN OPTION FOR DIRECT NO SHOW RESERVATION MUCH MORE EASY AND RELIABLE

I have been facing an issue with my timeline and task donuts as it does not gives me real time data and my timeline if i resolve the overbooking it still keeps on showing the red or orange line for overbooking so i need to log in again and then it gets resolve and this is what we are facing since 2 months and they are still working on the issue lol since 2 months and they will get back to us when they have something lol almost 2 months???

  18. When you add a product to a reservation, you can enter a consumption time.
    If you work with shifts/meal times for instance, it would be nice to have the consumption time (hh:mm) in your product report.

  19. Automated decrease of implemented overbooking levels,
    when resolving red lines in timeline.

    We overbook a lot, however when doing our room planning via the timeline, resolving the over bookings, the rooms as back for sales, so we would need to go into the availability screen and lower it manually. Would be great if this process can be automated, reducing the risk of to many overbookings.
