  1. I have 2 requests that both pertain to the rooming list functionality.

    1) I would like to be able to edit rooming lists once they are downloaded. Right now, they download as locked excel spreadsheets. That means it is impossible to add notes, or simply delete columns that are not relevant. I would like to share rooming lists with clients, but that is not possible without being able to edit them.

    2) If reservations within a group have two companions noted in the reservation, the rooming list duplicates each reservation, making the groups appear double in size. This is confusing,…

    Thank you for your feedback. We are currently monitoring feedback for adjustable columns in for the rooming list in the request that can be found linked below:

    The rooming list was originally created in a non editable format to ensure that all data filled in by guests was accurate and did not result in errors for cases where information was added to the wrong fields.

    We are however open to expanding the fields that can be edited in the rooming list. Would you be able to share the fields you would like to add or remove from the rooming list with us?

  2. Allow a free text 'notes' section in the emails sent to the guests. This is to have a more personalised communication and add details such as information about the driver if the bookings includes a transfer or to confirm that a specific request/preference from the guest has been recorded (for example: request for a room with a view, acknowledgment of a food allergy, etc.)

  3. When a payment request is expired or paid - it is not assigned to any departments.
    Can we create a setting that this task automatically is assigned to Front Office?

  4. It would be nice to see at what time the guests will be leaving when they have checked out online. We would like to see this in both the app and browser.

  5. If you accidentally close a Task, there does not seem to be any way to reopen or reinstate it (instead, you have to create a whole new task and rewrite everything).

    Could this please be rectified ASAP?

  6. sometimes you need to alert more than one department and/or people of the same task.
    would be handy if you had the opportunity to chose more than one department for the task, or be able to copy it, rather than having to type it all again.

  7. Would be nice if the room number shows up behind the name while using the search bar. If you look up a name now, you have to click on the name before you see the room number.

  8. For properties, only the reservation manager has access to the Rate Management in Mews. So when employees are changing the rate of the booking, they will not be able to know what was the original price of the rate. They will only see from the action log the original rate and not the original price. Properties are pushing not just the original rate but also the original price of the rate in the action log without the products attached.

  11. Hello,
    I love using your system it's really simple and effective.

    Just one suggestion maybe: when we had elements on a reservation (breakfast, city tax, half board etc...) it would be nice to have an option to select the dates we want them to be charged. At the moment, it charges them automatically for the all stay and we have to cancel the lines we don't need one by one (for example for a customer that stays 5 nights but wants breakfast only one day).

  12. Dear Mews Team,

    Could you create a new Mobile Application where it will be possible to directly use Mews website instead of using an internet browser (like Google Chrome, Safari,...) on iPhone / iPad ?

    At the moment the interface is not so user friendly and it could really save us time by creating a dedicated application like the MewsCommander app.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

    Our goal is to make the Mews web application user friendly as possible across all devices. We also provide the mews Kiosk in co-operator mode so that your front office staff will be able to tablets for the check in process.

    Would you be able to share some examples of use cases or sections of the system where you find the interface less user friendly when browsing on using a phone or tablet?

  13. Currently to check in a guest, You have to navigate too many screens between payment, guest info, and check in. Instead when you click check in, MEWS should automatically prompt the guest info then payment instead of having to navigate multiple tabs.

  14. Currently daily rate is not amendable once the bookings are created, with a status OPTION (not confirmed). We used to have it but not anymore.
    Also, we can never change room allocation if the booking is an option.

  15. It would be great if when changing the dates of a reservation in the properties tab you could have an option to keep the same price when changing the dates. This could be added as it is the apply cancellation fees, which you can select or not. Specially now with the Covid-19 crisis we are changing a lot of reservation dates keeping the conditions for our guests, and if the price of the new dates is higher than the price they had, when you change the dates the price per night is automatically updated.   18. Currently you can only extend the departure date of multiple reservations in a Group booking if the Arrival date / time match exactly for all selected reservations.

    i.e. when individuals arrive / check-in at different times in the day, we can then no longer bulk update the departure date for the group booking.

  19. In the Messages (Chat with Guest) it would be very useful to at least display the Room Number (Apartment ID) of the Guest after or before his Name...

    We always need to go back to timeline to find this info while chatting with the guest... very annoying and almost impossible with app on smartphone.

  20. Due to the actual situation we have a high interest in walk in numbers. At the moment there is possibility to get a walk in figure. It can be only assumed reservations for the same day are walk ins, but its not clear at all. Therefore we request a walk in origin code which can be much better tracked.
