  1. As group reservations often appear together on the Timeline, there is not currently an efficient solution to relocate all of them once. An additional Timeline feature could enable moving all group reservations to another block simultaneously.

  2. When orders are placed in Mews, there are often notifications sent for confirmation. However, when orders are canceled, it is more difficult to keep track of this lost revenue. Therefore, when orders are canceled, introduction of a notification e-mail could help properties stay more informed as detail of each cancellation would be available for future statistics and analysis.

  4. Some countries are not able to properly price and account VAT for long stays, especially when the long stay is changed from the original reservation above or below the certain amount of days. At billing, Mews should properly calculate the discount based on the length of stay (e.g. discount is for every day of a stay longer than 28 days; no discount for a stay of less than 29 days), adjusting the overall price to be paid by the guest, based on any discount.

  6. Group bookings can complicate payments, especially if all bookings are being paid for by a single party. Adding the capability to pay deposits for the group as a whole could provide a solution, as this could simplify the payment process for many business travelers or any other group travelers.

  8. "As service orders are created, sometimes there are multiple items included in one ticket. Currently, there is no indication of total cost for multiple-item orders, however adding this piece of information could help keep users informed before anything is finalized."

  13. The Mews Reservation report is one of the most flexible reports in the system, considering the number of items available for data comparison. While the report is in 'Totals' mode, the addition of a column for 'average length of stay' could provide another very useful criteria for future evaluation and planning.

  14. "For properties who would like to gather and view more statistics about length of stay, our reservation report would be a great tool for comparing these details. With an additional filter for 'Minimum number of nights', data analysis can become much easier as you can select exactly which items you would like to view."

    Thanks to your feedback, we decided to release two most wanted intervals! Now you can view following data on your reports:

    · Ongoing 6 months: First day of the current month at 00:00 – 6 months later at 00:00
    · Ongoing year: First day of the current month at 00:00 – 12 months later at 00:00

    The further development of the idea for the upcoming period is not planned for now. However, If we have any new updated on it, we will certainly let you know.

"If customers request a specific space feature, such as a balcony or a garden view, this must be processed after received so that an employee can manually assign such a space for that individual. Rather than manual assignment, however, properties may want to automate these feature requests. A new feature would enable the system to automatically allocate space assignment based on customer requests."

Groups configuration We need to have Group blocks i.e. *When we assign a booking code to a group booking, and the clients will reserve the rooms in the IBE, the PMS should understand that the room reserved need to be picked up from the block. Groups configuration We need to have Group blocks / allotments i.e. *To be able to use billing instructions (routing) in the group block, that will update all reservations

    Hi Mewsers!

    We are very happy to announce that we are beginning to work on adding group block functionality to Mews. If you have an integrated system you can begin making use of block functionality through the Connector API.

    Over the coming months we will begin adding block functionality to the PMS. If you are interested in learning more, and if you would like to share your feedback on our current prototypes, please let me know in the comments section or by responding to this email.
