  1. Bookable services can be deleted only if there is no reservation under them (including cancelled reservations).

    It is not possible to delete theme because access to these reservations might be needed in the future. However, it might be possible to deactivate/archive them, keeping the old data accessible in certain areas of the system.

    Hello, it's Martin here, from Mews.

    Today, we are releasing service deletion for services with past reservations.

    Bookable service can be deleted when there are no future or ongoing reservations attached to it. Also, there must be no automated exports, no service promotions and no integrations linked to the service.

    The functionality is only available to users with permission to create and manage services.

    Data from deleted services will disappear from almost all areas of the system, so use the functionality wisely :-) The data will only be visible in the manager report. Old reservations from a deleted service can also be accessed through the dashboard on the customer profile.

  2. EN version :
    When having a big rooming list , instead of going room by room then "group" then "last name" and "first name" - we could get a MEWS template on how to fill those names so it can be directly integrated into mews with a drag an drop file.

    At least when there is 1 to 2 person in the room :)

  3. Our invoices need to be emailed directly to companies (i.e. Travel Agents or Businesses) directly. Currently you can only email to Customer Profiles, yet all the contact information for companies are stored in the Company profile. We move chargeback items to a Company Bill, so it seems illogical to then not be able to email the invoice directly to that company?

    We waste so much valuable time saving the PDF down and manually sending the invoice through Gmail. There is a lot of room for human error here, where invoices don't ever get sent out.

  4. Dear colleagues,

    At this moment we can assign employees to the room but we can not cancel, it is only possible to override.

    It generous few problems:
    - in the next day room is still assigned to the same employee, a filter of the unassigned room is useless
    - everyday assignments must be made very carefully, checking when the room has been assigned, yesterday or today
    - it is not possible to make a report of an assigned room from the past, the system shows the only current assigned

  6. The routing rules allows us to route the following options;
    1 - Only reservations that are prepaid in online travel agency (OTA)
    2 - All reservations with this company or travel agency attached

    recommended improvement #1

    we noticed that option 1 does not route prepaid reservations by VC.
    As Bcom does indicate its a VC instead of a prepaid to TA. We cannot apply routing to this TA. As they do not have separate TA profiles for VC and CC as Expedia has, we currently cannot distinguish which ones should be routed.

  7. Insert a day by day rate per block manually instead of selecting an existing rate that has the wrong prices. Because we don't have fix block prices and maybe there are multiple blocks for one day with another rate.

There should be way to process the authorization that was already made on the card to be processed to a complete charge while checking in the guest using the terminal where the preauthorization is sent to the terminal and guest will make sure it is the right amount and enter there pin if it is a debit card or enter the zip code for credit card or any other way so that there can be less chance for any guest to add a charge back case something like that as it will make sure the guest used the card by…

  9. When companions are added to large reservations e.g. 100 + from the rooming list identifying the names of the companions is very difficult in these large groups. If users expand the columns, it means that they have to do a large amount of scrolling to find guest information as simple as the guests name.

    Allow users to select whether or not they would like companions to become reservation owners when they have been added from a rooming list.

  10. With the new availability report I am missing the calendar dates.
    What is important to check the availability for example with close-out dates.

    Is it possible to add the calendar to the new availability report ?

    This would really help. Now I am still working with the old report.

  14. Can we please get a simple number of nights count when viewing/managing a reservation? As simple as placing it next to the "nights" section would be immensely helpful when working with guests, particularly guests who have more lengthy stays. Currently, the only option Mews offers is to manually count or do math, which takes up uneccessary time while interacting with guests, and gets frustrating for such a simple and essential part of that interaction.

  15. The billing has changed and a lot of colleagues get confused using this new billing method. It is harder to see the companions on the same room when 2 guest are travelling together in one room. Sometimes the charges from F&B are booked on 2 different names in the same reservation. This can be easily forgotten on check out when very busy.
    The room number is also not visible in the billing. It would be nice to see a name and roomnumber. (sometimes there are 2 bookings under the same name)

    Thank you for your comments and feedback regarding the billing screen.

    We have released an update resolving issues where the room names and room numbers were missing from the billing screen.

    The new billing screen has 2 main views, group billing and individual billing.

    From the group billing screen, you will be able to view a list of all bill items for reservation owners and companions. The group billing screen can be accessed from the billing tab on the top right hand side of the reservations screen.

    The group billing screen shows all bill items for a group for the current stay period. Whereas as the individual billing screen (which can be accessed by selecting the billing icon next to a guests name), will show you all bill items from current, previous and future reservations.

  16. In a big chain with 12500+ travel agents, it is a must to being able to look on IATA number. A lot of TA's have the same name but may have another IATA number.

  17. we are not able to see anywhere the list of names when doing a search. not when making a booking, not when adding a guest to a booking, nothing nowhere.
    this is a huge issue as bookings can't be completed or amended and mistakes are being made. can't even add a booker who has now asked me twice already for the payment link to be sent to her!!!!!!!!!

  18. As a short stay accommodation our guests stay at least 6 months with us. To create appropriate invoices, we are forced to combine 30/31 daily rates and move them to a new invoice. For 200 guests a year, this is really time consuming. Hopefully it will be possible to settle a fixed price for every month. This will extremely benefit the efficiency of Mews from our point of business.

    Hello, monthly bookable services in Mews allow you to price your services on monthly basis: you do not have to define price for each night, you price full months and there is only one item (month) instead of 30 items (nights) on the bill.

    In the coming months, the team will focus on improving the functionality for long stays (monthly reservations) and introduce pro-rating, flexible housekeeping and product posting. We are also looking into payments automation via direct debit.

  19. Please allow for different room quantity allotments over each date to reflect typical room block patterns. Currently, I can only enter the same amount of rooms over each date, that is not how blocks usually work and it prevents me from easily entering the rooming list in the block once it goes definite.

    Hi Kenna,

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. It is currently possible to set room quantity per day, per space category in a block.

    In order to do this, click the "Adjust" button on the block dashboard > Select a date where you'd like to remove availability and manual enter the number. This action can be done for any date within the block, whereas the bulk update option allows you to set different room quantities for a selected period.

  20. Show check in and check out dates in the principal screen of Accounting ledger. So you can see if the reservation that needs to be resolved is past, in house or future, without going inside any booking.
    Or sort out the list by check out date instead of by surname.

    Solved through the new accounting ledger. New ledgers are in progressive roll out and will released to all countries by the end of January.
