  1. Add common areas (like pool, kitchen, garden 1, garden 2) to assign them to housekeeping and maintenance, to be able to assign task a cleaning of common area.

    Hello,

    I’m happy to inform you that it is now possible to create spaces/resources without a category and see them on the timeline + assign them house uses. The resources are currently not bookable through the standard channels and can be really “reserved” only for an internal usage.

  2. Even if there is only a stayover in one bed of a dorm, the whole room should be marked as dirty the next morning, so that HK know they have to check it. So you don't risk to book guests into a dirty room

    We are very happy to inform you that you will be able to view a dorm as dirty if there is one stay over within the room.

    You will be able to view this, in both the space status report as well as the housekeeping application.

  3. We´ve found this link informing that the NIF is mandatory for bill above 400EUR in Spain, but to use this situation the Bill should have two different templates and would turn more complicated for daily operations.

    The request is to have a “Big Warning” when the operator tries to generate a Bill with an empty NIF. So the operator can intentionally decide if it is really desired to generate a Bill without NIF and avoid human error missing the NIF, because by default the NIF is empty even when the user fields are already filled by the system.

    Hello Mewsers,

    We are very happy to inform you that we now show the room number, and reservation details for all tasks linked to reservations in the Mews mobile app.

    You can test this functionality by linking a task to a reservation in Mews web > open the mobile app > in the tasks tab you will see the link icon > select the link icon to view reservation details including the room number.

    It is also possible to select the room number to be directed to the linked room in the Mews mobile app.

  6. Make a view specially designed for the breakfast team.

    They want to have a few with: guestname, roomnumber, how many persons. They want to track who came and who still need to have breakfast. So a simple checkbox in that list would do.

    Also the day before a prediction for the amount of breakfast next day, that is easy to access for the breakfast team members.

  7. Hello, I'd like to share an idea regarding the Housekeeping.The hotel bought mobile phones for every chambermaid and the manager in order to work with the Mews app and the features it offers. However, we have noticed, that if our chambermaids do the cleaning (they change the status from DIR-->CLN) and the manager inspects it and is satisfied ( change from CLN -->INS ) marks it as inspected and it stays like that until further change.

    The issue emerges when we're talking about a room, where does the guests stay, 'cause the app says "inspected" even the other day, when…

    Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us.

    We are very happy to inform you that we have released a setting called "Check-in makes space dirty". With this option selected an inspected room will be marked as dirty as soon as a guest checks in. If a guest is staying overnight the space will automatically be marked as dirty at midnight.

  8. We have received an error message 'reservation too long'. Currently reservations can only be accepted < 365 days. We need to be able and show there is business for long stays for our stakeholders and therefore splitting the reservations provide wrong information regarding the LOS. I would advise extending this time frame to 2 years

    Hello, reservations longer than a year can be created through monthly bookable services functionality. The maximum length is restricted to 5 years.

    In the coming months, the team will focus on improving the functionality for long stays (monthly reservations) and introduce pro-rating, flexible housekeeping and product posting.

    Hello, monthly bookable services in Mews allow you to price and charge for your services on monthly basis.

    In the coming months, the team will focus on improving the functionality for long stays (monthly reservations) and introduce pro-rating, flexible housekeeping and product posting. We are also looking into payments automation via direct debit.

  11. WHO NEEDS THE DATA OF THE SOCIAL ON THE RIGHT BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN NOT ALL THE FRONT DESK PEOPLE HAVE MORE CONCERN ABOUT IT MAKE IT IN A TAB AND REPLACE AND DISPLAY THE ROOM ARABILITY AND RATES DIRECTLY FROM THE SCREEN WITHOUT ANY CLICK THAT IS MORE USEFUL THAN THE SOCIAL ON DAILY BASES

    We have removed the social scores from the Dashboard. We are still looking into ways how we can further optimize the space available on the dashboard. Please keep providing suggestions for things you'd love to see on the dashboard.

    Can you create a space type for day use that can be excluded from the occupancy rate ?

    I’m happy to announce that it is now possible to create multiple bookable services in Mews and start offering offices, meeting rooms, desks or parking spots to your guests.

    There is a dedicated timeline and reporting for each new service. Services can be offered on daily or overnight basis.

  13. It could be awesome to be able to add different colours or notes to some dates in the Rate Management calendar so we can mark some special dates as holly weeks, special events, etc to pay attention to the rates on those days

  16. Since you can't undo cancellations there is no point in having them displayed together with future or current reservations. They could be displayed somewhere else. When you select all reservations the cancellations are also selected, at the same time your editing options on the left side of the display decrease because it now also refers to the cancelled bookings which you can't edit...Why? Either remove cancelled bookings at least from that display fully or let the select all button select everything but the cancelled bookings.

    Hello Mewsers,

    We are very happy to inform you that we have released the new group billing screen!

    On this new screen we have separated bill items from past and future reservations. Now you can stick to seeing the relevant bills for your reservation in the selected stay period

    Don’t worry, we haven’t gotten rid of it completely! We have created an additional billing screen for each guest. You can access this screen by selecting “All guest’s bills” in the new billing screen. This will show you all open past, present and future bills for the guest you have selected, with convenient tags so you always know which bills are relevant for you.

    Please note this functionality is only available on the new billing screen which will continue to run along side the current billing module.

  19. Ability to add a stay product from guest's bookings with possibility to choose charging mode:
    Once
    Per night
    Per person
    Per person per night
    Selected charging mode has priority over default charging mode of product stay.

    Selected charging mode should have the priority over default charging mode of the stay product.

    E.G = EX: Have 1 product called BKFST and in reservation pick if ppp or pp etc.

  20. Recently a check in a create keys button was added to each booking which is great it checks in and creates the keys for the customers HOWEVER! it only works after 4pm, because our official check in is at 4pm. what we would like will be the function to work at any time! and instead a pop up will appear that will say it is not 4pm yet would you like to create the key? yes, no. and it will create them either way as long as it leaves a record that they were created before or after 4.

    This was due to a bug that has since been resolved. A key can be cut at any time after the reservation is checked in. As long as the check-in is completed, there is no problem cutting a key prior to the default reservation start time set by the property.
