Threshold Tax Logic
There are some legal environments where the threshold tax applies. It means that if the rate of the stay is below a specific amount (e.g. $50/night), the occupancy tax doesn't apply.
The tax logic in Mews doesn't support it which prevents hostels to use Mews in regions like San Francisco or British Columbia.
The tax logic should treat nights above and below certain price range differently.

A discount (%) campaign should also be possible to reduce also Products (Product Rule) with that %.
A discount (%) campaign should also be possible to reduce also Products (Product Rule) with that %. The obvious example is breakfasts - yet, preserving city tax without any % discount. This way, the myriad of special discounted Products, Product Rules etc would be avoided.

Invoice without details
Many customers ask for an invoice for their stays without details.
Now, each invoice contains the details of the services and on the same page a summary of the taxes.
It would be interesting to have the summary of the taxes on a separate page and which includes the same header and footer of the detailed invoice.4 votesHello all,

Remove "Please keep this for your records" / "Bitte bewahre dies für deine Unterlagen auf"
Remove the Appendix "Please keep this for your records" or in German "Bitte bewahre dies für deine Unterlagen auf". Problem is that in Germany and many other countries there is a formal way of speaking to people.
In our case we use formal for all communication with our guests but this text isn't translated that way. That may be off-putting or probably even offensive for some. Because this note is added right at the footer field anyone could just add that to the footer text field in any way he like (formal or not).

Market Segments linked to Accounting Report
The Market Segment should appear on this report (like in Guestline Postings Report) so that we can relate actual daily revenue to market segments after deduction of tax and Breakfast etc.

invoice: overnight and breakfast as package price but tax separately
We would like to change the listing of positions on the invoice. At the moment guests see the invoice like this:
-overnight
-breakfast
-tourist taxThis is not perfect / a little confusing as guests book their room always including breakfast. We want the listing to be like this:
-overnight (price including breakfast) --> bill as package
-tourist tax
no splitting for the overnight and the breakfast. But tourist tax should still be mentioned separately.3 votes -
New Spanish Police Report
The new Real Decreto 933/2021 is now in place and all the spanish hotels have up to 02/Jun/2023 to implement it. It requires the collection of more guest data during checkin (online and/or at front desk) and to provide a new report to the police database.

Tax Setup (Legal Environment) by Property Administrator
Allow each property to setup and modify their own taxes rather than have Mews hard code these taxes into the system. US taxes are complicated with local, city, county, state, TBID, tourism and other taxes that change independently from each other. This aligns with channel manager setups. Additionally, have the ability to create tax periods for all taxes i.e. start date, end date so that the system can properly tax reservations that cross a tax period change. Have the liability sit with the property administrator who receives notification of future changes and should be held responsible for these changes. This…

Rate Rules setting, as Product Rules
Would be nice to have a Rate Rules settings (as also Product Rules) to be able to make more tailor made rates. At this moment we use the Rate Rules settings to setup rates, but this results in wrong city tax, because the Product Rules settings are not included in the (hard coded) city tax calculation.

Have products included in rate visible during the reservation process in Commander
When making a new reservation in Commander, there is no way to see a breakdown of the product(s) included in the rate until after the reservation is confirmed.
This is even more confusing when the product price is added to the rate. For example if the rate is EUR 100 per night and a compulsory city tax of EUR 1 per night is automatically added, there is no way for me to see instantly why I selected a EUR 100 but the total value of the booking is EUR 101.3 votesHi Peggy,

Virtual Credit cards and automatic charging
For Amsterdam Properties, the virtual Credit card amounts are for less than the full price since the guest needs to pay the 3 euro tourist tax upon arrival. I wonder if the automatic charging could read the amount imported under credit card information.

Get a better overview of guest requests in the Mews
At the moment I can store information from the guests under Proberties -> Notes -> Gerneral and Add notes. They can see everything. Ideally, as in other programmes, I would like to be able to differentiate between:
- Front Office
- Housekeeping -> Linked to the Mews App from Housekeeping
- F&B - set with authorisations so that the service employee does not see everything else but only his part for breakfast/dinner etc....This would simplify the overview in the Mews and the housekeeping as well as the restaurant (have Mews so in the restaurant without POS) see directly the…

Routing number field needed on guest invoices
Currently guest invoices have the following fields
Bank Account
Bank Name
IBANNA banking terminology is the following:

Account Number
Routing NumberCan guest invoices be changed to include these fields for NA clients?

Bookable Period
Would be nice if in the invoice description at the place of night will be overnight ( as german description as Nacht -> Übernachtung).
This is at the moment not possible, this"words" come from the service hard coded information and this are the only available options at the moment: night, day, Month and hour.2 votes -
Translation / wording
Hello,
could we please adjust the German translation of the field "Channel Manager Relative Adjustment" as well as it's info pop-up? The translation states "Relative adjustment FOR Channel Manager" and the pop-up does not mention anything about reservations but only about prices coming from Channel Manager which is typically technically not possible and it is therefore assumable that we are meaning a surcharge on the rates we are sending which is not the case either.
