You can currently test the feature on demo.mews.li. The feature is called payment requests.

1. Select the guest and navigate to the Payments tab, “Payment requests” are at the bottom.

2. Once p.r. is created, navigate to the mail queue and see the email sent to the guest, click on the link and finish the flow

3. Once guest pays, payment request changes its status and payment appear on the guest’s billing screen

4. Fulfilled or expired payment request creates the Task

Good news! We are currently working on bringing you this feature. It will work as follows:

1. In Commander, property can send payment request from Guest > Payments tab

2. Property can choose amount, currency, expiration date and time of the request, personal message to customer.

3. Once the payment request is created in Mews, email is sent to guest together with all info from 2.

4. Email takes guest to the screen where he/she fills in payment card details. Guest is charged directly.

5. Property is notified when payment request is fulfilled or expired via Task.

We are still exploring how the reporting for such a feature should work. Would you like to have a report for this feature? If so, who from property will use it and for what? What do you think shouldn’t miss in such a report.

Very interesting idea! Merged with “Payment link for phone bookings” as it covers similar usecase!
