Multiple automatic settlement rules
Automatic settlement is a great tool for automating payment collection from guests, however it is not currently possible to apply more than one settlement rule. Properties may rather prefer to add several rules that work together for a custom payment scheme. For example, take 20% of payment upon creation, 30% one week before arrival, and the remaining 50% on the reservation start date.

iDEAL is an online payment solution with a direct online transfer from your bank account to the bank account of the Mews property. It is the most used payment method in the Netherlands.

Connect a credit card machine to Mews
A creditcard machine connected to a PC will help to save time and faults at the front desk.
When connected, all transactions on the credit card machine have to be generated in MEWS. So will be linked on a Product all the time.
You generate automatically the right profit and charge the costumer for the right amount.Met een gekoppelde pin terminal aan de receptie PC scheelt dit tijd en voorkomt eventuele fouten bij de recepties.

Preauthorizations improvements
We welcome guest that stay more than a week inside our properties. Preauthorizations get cancelled automatically after 7 days which creates an issue for us, in case of broken furnitures in the property or unpaid bills. For this purpose we should be able to create preauthorizations of more than 7 days.
76 votesThe change in preauthorizations was released in 2022, unfortunately, we missed updating its status.
Now manually created preauthorizations through Mews Payments can be selected to expire up to 28 days from the creation day. Also, for automatically created preauthorizations Mews releases the preauthorization 24 hours after your property's configured check-out time. It would be very helpfull to have a option to send a secured payment link to guests or companies, this In order to avoid chargebacks and makes it easier for external companies or persons to pay someones reservation via credit/debit card. This also helps whenever a guest doesnt have the credit card of they room payment with him.

Link a payment to a reservation with external payments
When a booking is made we would like to link it to the reservation the guest made the payment for. Now if a guest makes more bookings we can not see which bookings are paid yet. we can only see what the total amount is

Card Surcharging (Australia and New Zealand)
Since credit card fees are often inevitable, you could eliminate some of these costs by including an extra percentage cost for customers who choose to pay by card. One solution is to extend your Merchant with automatic credit card surcharge fees, which would cover the cost of any extra unwanted fees and help manage your property's revenue goals.

It would be great to set up other kind of external payments like TWINT or any other type that would be useful for the single properties for their statistics and checks.

Notification e-mail or task set-up for failed 3D secure payments
With the possibility of 3D secure payments failing, there is a chance this payment is missed and not followed-up.
It would therefore be convenient to receive a notifcation e-mail of failed 3D secure payments. Alternatively, a task could be set (automated).14 votesHi all,

Combined report for payments and settlements
Created date (day payment was taken)
Total amount taken by Stripe
Combine the Payments and Settlement Reports so that we can see this information in one: Created date (day payments were taken), Total amount taken by merchant [Stripe], Total commission fees, Amount Settled, Date Settled.
Clicking on the Payments for a particular day should go through to the list of payments.

Pay out report Merchant balance
View the kind of creditcards (Amex, Mastercard, Visa) on the payout report from the Merchant Balance. And show the total for the costs. So you can check this payout better

Merchant balances
With higher volumes on Merchant being processed we need to give more clarity to clients on how the settlement amounts are calculated and be able to keep deposits to lower the risk in case of negative balance on client's account.

Improove 3D secure confirmation as per EU Regulation.
At the moment this is what happens:
-The guest makes the reservation.
-The system sends him the confirmation
-The system sends a second email where it asks to authorize the payment.What happens if the guest does not authorize the payment?
We can cancel the reservation but if the guest will arrive and we will not have the room available for him we would miss our commitment because he will have in his hands our confirmation.
On the other side, if the guest will make a no-show and we will charge him, the same guest will have the right to…

Mews is fully optimized for processing payments under the PSD2 regulation.
We are maximizing payment acceptance by asking the guest to authenticate the payment whenever the bank is requiring the authentication.
In the booking engine flow, for example, the guest will see a bank’s page pop-up as a part of the check-out flow, if the payment is not successfully authenticated, according to the PSD2 rules, Mews won’t be able to charge the guest. If payment is authenticated, in guest profile you will be able to see that the payment is successful.
If you’re charging the guest on the card that was not previously authenticated by the guest, if the bank, at the time of the payment is requiring the biometric or SMS acceptance via bank code, as the guest is not present at the time of the payment, Mews is sending the email to…

Customer names on Merchant Payouts
It would be so much easier to pull the Merchant payout report if the customers name and surname was linked to it. At the moment i have to pull the payment report and reconcile it with the merchant payout report. It takes up a lot of my time

Granular external payments and more
We are an Accor establishment, and we are working with OGONE, but we do not have any type of payment for this matter. Is it possible to add OGONE VISA, OGONE MASTERCARD and OGONE AMEX for future payments ? Thank youuuu
