Name on the payment card
Add a section to specify third party name on the card used for payment. Having several cards registered to the guest makes it quite difficult to know which company is paying for the stay. Many thanks.

ELAVON - Provider other option than Stripe
The payment term of stripe is too long, Elavon offers a service of a better quality for cheaper also concerning the bank charges by card. The duration of funds transfer is between one day to two days. Stripe is between 3 days and 7 days of delay. In addition, credit card customer data is not secure at the same level at stripe (Cayman Islands).
We should have the choice to choose another provider following our place of activity. Currently stripe is the only possible option and the service is not up to the expectations of MEWS customers.

Paypal Payment Method
Paypal is one of the leading payment systems worldwide. A direct integration with Paypal would enable the support of online money transfers as payments in Mews, providing as an electronic alternative to traditional payment methods.

Edit the payment note
When we collect a payment on the payment screen you have an option to add a note, we use this to note down the transaction details room number and the name of the receptionist. sometimes you can make a mistake and put the wrong room number for example, what we would like will be the function to edit that note so when a mistake is made it can be amended.
This information is later used for generating reports and informing the staff during shift changes.

balanced bills not to be triggered
For offline or online reservations, with balanced bill due to another payment method than CC, the trigger should not try to charge the CC given by the guest.

Virtual Credit Cards are charged 100% allways even if it's Free Cancellation
Why virtual credit cards are charged 100% in advance, even if they are free cancellation.
It should charge only 1st night as with the others CC, depending on the settlement rules.

Share customer payment cards between chains
For chains, it is helpful that customer profiles are shared between properties, however some of that data is not always included. Payment card information would be especially helpful to include in shared profiles, as it will keep records more complete and prevent properties for asking guests each time.

Record declined preauthorizations
All automatically processed preauthorizations are recorded within the payments section of the customer profile. However, as part of the current transaction state, it is not visible in case a preauthorzation was not successful in logs and not possible to distinguish failed payments email from failed preauthorization one.

Automated credit check
With implementing automatic preauthorizations, there are many more opportunities to automate other payment processes. Within the Guests in house report, properties can check for customers that may still have an outstanding balance. Using this information, we can automatically create preauthorizations for any guests that have an open balance posted to their account. The preauthorizations can be created for a larger amount in case of additional expenses, however, please note that this feature would exclude customers that have a balance due to a future stay, as it would not be necessary for those guests.

Distinguish Manual (Terminal) payments from Merchant
Currently, only online payments should marked in Mews with a badge, however for properties that prefer manual terminal payments, it seems that any payments with a matching identifier appear in a confusing way, as they are then marked with a badge. For this reason, it could be very beneficial to create a more noticeable way to distinguish these two types of payment in Mews.

Consolidate Payment Report Export
The Mews Payment report is a great way to view all transactions made within a specific interval. All payments can then be exported into a document, making it easier to review. However, some properties would prefer that the export be formatted in a more consolidated way, with all payments visible on one page, rather than divided into tabs by type. For some accounting teams, this could be a more useful and centralized way to view payments.

automatic preauthorization
It would help a lot for residences and holiday apartments if there would be an option to create an automatic preauthorization of a certain amount the day of arrival and automatic cancellation of the preauthorization f.e. 7days after departure.
