Limiting number of rooms to be booked in one go
To place a limit on the number of rooms available to be booked in one go. Many properties consider 9+ rooms a group reservation that has different payment, cancellation and packaging rules. Currently one person could book out the entire hotel before being able to apply a dynamic rate adjustment to increasing occupancy.

Hello, I would like to have a limit for the guests when they book on our websight, ex max five rooms. If they want to book more rooms they need to contact us as it is different cancellationrules and routines for payment, THX/Annette Livington Hotel, Sweden

Imagine an airline company without this option :-).
I don't understand why we have to "upvote"...
No airline would be interested in a software that cannot restrict the number of seats per reservation. Not only on their own booking engine but also distributed to resellers...
In the hotel industry, it is the exact same idea. Yet the developers have an issue with that.
We need to block these group reservations.
(The small letters in the Terms & Conditions are not sufficient... we lose a lot of time explaining to the customer why the more they book, the higher the rate will be. And if the booking is made via a reseller (booking.com) it is much more complicated. And so one... ) -

During our high occupancy summer tourist season it is critical that we be able to limit the number of rooms someone can book.

This is a CRITICAL improvement Mews has to make, especially for smaller properties. We simply cannot have a group reservation who could book the entire hotel at a given date. This also prevents us from doing any yield management.
We look forward to your quick action on this issue.

This is something that we urgently need. As a small hostel it is very detrimental to us when there is one single person making actually a group reservation on the same conditions that we have for solo travelers.
Please please please work on this! Limiting the amount of beds guests can reserve in one single booking should be standard. -

Definitely essential to have, please!

Agree, we are currently having to deal with this manually, cancelling and rebooking people under group terms, which impacts reporting and creates unnecessary admin.

We've just joined Mews and wasn't even aware of this. Scary thought to be honest. We definitely would like to set a maximum reservation number at which time it would become a group booking with different T&C. The risk to the Hotel is incredible otherwise.

good idea, preferable being able to make a difference from what can be booked online, and being able to overrule when we manually make a booking.

we wish to be able to set a maximum limit of rooms bookable by a client (absolute limit and limit by room categories) in order to avoid privatization of the establishment, for example.

It should not be available to book on the website and should come directly to the group booking departments.
It should however tell the client that they cant book but this is now an enquiry and they can send it through to the property.

9+ rooms should be converted to an enquiry.

9 pulse rooms should have to go through the res/onsite res teams.

This is a very good point and something we would also like to see changed.

This would be helpful if restricted (e.g. max 20 persons per reservation) to certain channels or Distributor as we want to avoid receiving Distributor bookings for e.g. 100 persons and prefer to handle this only through our reservations department in order to be able to prepare such a big arrival (prepayment, rooming allocation, special terms and conditions, etc.)
