  1. When creating a new product, the user should be able to associate it with a course. For example, Soup would fall under Starter.

    If the waiter wishes to amend this during service, they can do so. However, if no selection is made, the item will automatically default to the course assigned when the product was created.

  2. When you have a large group with multiple items, why don't the items merge but stay as individuals? This makes for a really long receipt and wastes paper.

  3. In the app, when doing a room charge, the operator does not know who's the onwer of the room.
    We would need an icon or something to show who's the owner of that room.
    In case i push the room charge to another person of the room, in the PMS another bill is created, leading to manual merge operation in case (most cases) one person pays the bill for the whole room.

  4. Es sollte möglich sein den Kassenbestand in MEWS POS bei Geldentnahme zu mit einer Ausgabe zu buchen.
    Oder der Kassenbestand sollte an eine Kasse an das PMS gesendet werden können.

  5. Customisation of menu listing on POS handheld payment terminal for staff.

    I see it as a fundamental flaw, that menus on the handheld terminal are shown by creation date and that there is no way to rearrange them. Which makes it an incredibly time consuming and tedious task to reorder them so that the most prevalent product sales appears first, to minimise time spent on scrolling through categories. This may be only be 10 seconds. But times ✖️ that by every product you enter for every sale that you do. Not only to mention the lack of efficiency on busy…

  6. Les paiements en espèces dans MEWS POS doivent pouvoir impacter (si le choix est fait) la caisse de MEWS PMS. Ainsi, pour les établissements avec une seule caisse physique, tous les paiements MEWS PMS et POS arrivent au même endroit et permettent un contrôle de caisse facilité. Chaque jour, je suis obligé de créer un ajustement dans la caisse PMS du montant encaissé sur MEWS POS afin d'avoir une caisse correcte.

  7. Kitchen tickets should automatically group identical products even if they originate from bundles, so that identical items appear as “3 × Starter” instead of three separate lines.

    The problem

    We run a daily half-board menu in our hotel restaurant (as many other do too):

    Starter
    Soup
    Main course (choice: Meat / Fish / Vegetarian)
    Dessert

    The logical setup in Mews POS is to create this as a product bundle with a choice for the main course.

    However, when the same bundle is ordered multiple times (for example 3 menus with different main courses), the kitchen ticket does not group identical…

  8. We often have the case that guests switch to the bar after the meal. We would like to avoid guests having to sign their bill several times in the evening.
    To do this, we have to merge tables again and again. Although this function is available in POS, I know it more intuitively from other POS (example Lightspeed). Especially when many orders are open at the same time, it is very complicated to find the table that you want to merge with the other table. Especially if you use several table layouts.

  9. When many orders are open at the same time, it is often very idle to find the right one. Although you can filter by table number, only your own orders are displayed sorted and then the rest below.
    It would be great to have a field with a cross-search, in which you could simply enter name or room number or table number etc. and then find the order.

  10. hello together,

    we would love to welcome our loyalty member in a special way to our breakfast.

    As we are using the product list to check who has breakfast included, we would love to be able to add the colum “loyalty program” and/or “guest notes” to the checklist.

    I believe that this is an awesome step into the loyalty topic which MEWS is focussing more now as per the MEWS roadmap (2weeks ago).

    As well other PMS system do not have this feature I believe.

  11. At the bottom of the cart, even if oper orders are disabled, the send order button is still present next to the shortcut and the three dots for other payments methods.
    So the button is confusing and useless. We kindly ask you to hide it if open orders are disabled.

  12. We would need to be able to enable/disable the send offer button when on check out. It can help the UX to be simpler, leaving only the essential parts that are needed.

  13. Die PDF-Reports sind aktuell äußerst unpraktisch formatiert.

    Ein PDF-Report nimmt ca. 3 mal so viele Seiten in Anspruch wie ein vergleichbarer Excel-Report der vernünftig formatiert wurde. (Spalten minimiert + alle Spalten auf einer Seite dargestellt)

    Für das PDF:
    wesentlich kleinere Schriftgröße wählen
    Abstände zwischen Schrift und Zellenwänden wesentlich reduzieren

    Dies stellt ein Problem dar, da in unserem Haus viele Reports für Auditzwecke gedruckt und archiviert werden müssen.

  14. When a restaurant client requests for the bill, it is not possible to get a pro forma invoice; only the order summary is available to be printed for the client.

    It is also not possible to group items or remove the 'Platos' either on the order summary. This is not ideal at all since it is confusing for the customers to review their bills. It also makes that, many times, printed tickets are absurdly long.

  15. le rapport « Prix moyen par couvert » permet d’analyser les performances sur une période donnée (chiffre d’affaires, couverts, ticket moyen), mais il ne détaille pas, pour chaque jour, un nombre de couverts pour le service du midi et un nombre de couverts pour le service du soir sur des lignes distinctes.

  16. Hello,
    at the moment the web dashboard allows you to set more than one fiscal printer, but at the end when you try to print the invoice the system returns an error. More than one fiscal printer per outlet seems not possible.
    For very wide outlets we would need to set more than one fiscal printer.

  17. I would like to have the stay dates included to the product checklist. We're using the product checklist at the host desk in breakfast and we would like to see at first glance if it's guests' first time having breakfast or if they had breakfast before. We can then either explain the breakfast buffet set-up or 'welcome back the guest.

  20. When sending an invoice digital (via Email) to the guest, the header color is fixed purple.
    It would be nice to change the color into the company CI.
    And it would be even nicer to set it per Outlet.
