  1. I find the color choices really strange. For example, when I see grey I think the reservation is from the past, when I see blue I don't feel like I need to do anything. It is not really logical if you don't know what it means.
    My color proposal would be the following:
    -Gray --> Past reservations
    -Black--> Out of Order
    -Blue--> To be checked in (Reservations of the day)
    -Green --> Already checked in
    -Orange--> To be checked out.
    -Red--> The check out need to be done, the room was supposed to be checked out before.

  3. If we make an optional reservation for our guests and send them our offer. The guests confirm the reservations through the link but the responsible employee/department do not get any information or notification, so it is problematic to keep track of these bookings. It would be great to get atleast a pop up notification if the guests confirm there reservations. This information is essential for internal planning for almost every property.

  5. It would be great to be able to choose consumption date and time when setting product rules - For example If the product should be added on arrival date or in the night.

    When you have a package that includes dinner at the arrival date it's not optimal to have the consumption date, by defualt set as the day after if the product is added through a product rule.

    As it is now this affects the product reports in a negative way.

  6. since a couple of weeks, the timeline doesn't automatically adjust when you change the dates on a house use booking. you need to refresh the page all the time, which is quite annoying.

  8. Sometimes a guest messages us on the MEWS platform, and then calls and we are able to answer their enquiry over the phone.
    I would then like to be able to mark their message as completed without the guest having to see. This way the next person on front desk will not come along and think that the enquiry still needs to be answered.

  9. Availability blocks currently only allow the option to enter 1 specific rate for a block. Since we operate with different rates based on roomtypes, and a group often combines roomtypes, it would be great being able to select multiple rates.
    Also offering a group to book online with a discount based on public rates, it would be good to be able to offer them both a discounted flexible rate and a discounted non-refundable rate.

  10. For reporting purposes and data analysis, it would be good to have the possibility to chose whether or not we want to incl/excl OOO rooms. At the moment, MEWS deducts this automatically

  11. For confirmed bookings we can set up a default send/do not send for confirmations. Quotations for optional bookings are currently send by default, we would like to adjust the default setting to do not send.

  12. We need to be able to create multiple confirmations regarding, example: a confirmation for group reservations with other conditions than a reservation for only one room. This is a highly requested feature for the ability to send correct conditions regarding the reservations!

  13. When setting a task, everything needs to be typed, whereas a lot of time could be saved if the hotel could customise a list of templates to use.

    For example, 'Deliver Amenity' or 'Unzip Beds'. Quick little things like these!

  14. The room number tab column in the rooming list should be customisable as we have many operational issues with the room numbers appearing on it and clients expecting to have those rooms when they check in. We should be able to remove this column if not relevant.

  15. When a guest arrives and the room is not ready, it would be good to place the reservation into a Queue that would notify Housekeeping to prioritize this guest room cleaning. This might be an added icon that would put the reservation on top of the normal reservation cards on the arrival screen. The automation part would be to notify housekeeping that a reservation has been put into the queue and waiting.

  16. When changing the dates of a reservation, in my opinion, there is a step missing where Mews confirms if there is availability for the same type of room and informs the new price (to be accepted or not).

  17. For colour blind staff the dots for dirty, inspected, clean etc. do not help. It would be useful to hover over the room number to see the status rather than having to open each room.
    Currently the timeline is not accessible for colour blind.

  18. We should be able to undo a split of a reservation. Guests change their minds many times!

  19. In the Messages (Chat with Guest) it would be very useful to at least display the Room Number (Apartment ID) of the Guest after or before his Name...

    We always need to go back to timeline to find this info while chatting with the guest... very annoying and almost impossible with app on smartphone.
