  1. When using digital solutions and integrations, accurate timing is crucial.

    In Mews, the selected arrival time does not always match the exact check-in time when using automated check-in. Sometimes, there can be an additional delay of up to 10 minutes before the reservation is fully checked in, causing issues—for instance, when promising guests "check-in at 3 PM" and having an automated flow dependent on the exact check-in time.

    By implementing an option like "Start check-in X minutes before arrival time," each property could individually accommodate this delay, significantly improving the guest experience.

  2. In addition to the “Close paid invoice” checkbox at check-out, offer “Close paid invoice and send by email” as an option. We always send the invoice to private guests by email, but nothing needs to be changed on the invoice and automation would take up a lot of work here.

When making a booking and we need to select a date; could we get the dates on the calendar highlighted to let us know something important is happening on this date, i.e bank holiday, special event, wedding, or any restrictions. As when making a booking on Mews, we don't always use the calendar therefor we can miss if there is something important happening on that date.

    when introducting groups providing the arrival date (which is in the future) the departure date does not take into account the arrival time, but it comes back to
    real date. Same happens with tasks

  7. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass in der Zeitachse neben den Namen auch direkt die Anzahl der Gäste im Zimmer angezeigt wird. Da wir Aufbettungen buchbar haben und auch Einzelnutzung möglich ist, hätten wir so in der Zeitachse den besseren Überblick.

  11. It would be great if the feature for creating reservations directly in the timeline could be made optional and turned on or off in the settings. While this feature has been well received from many of our staff, it is often triggered unintentionally when navigating through the timeline. The possibility to turn it on or off would help our staff by allowing them to customize the handling of the timeline to their preferences.

  14. Displaying the rate (Best rate of the day) on the calendar would save time on two levels:
    1- When making a reservation, it would be possible to inform the customer at a glance about the availability of a room and to communicate the rate of the room.

    2- displaying the rates on the calendar would help to check the correct configuration of the rates and to make changes/adjustments if necessary.

  16. Our operations and guest experience would be so much smoother if tasks were automatically assigned to a specified department when a product is added! Product options currently only automatically assign tasks if a product is added during online check-in. This should be an option when a product is added during any step of the guest journey - either by the guest or by the reservations specialist.

  17. I think its time to fix the phone number issue that seems to have been ongoing since the start of Mews. I get that it is not a critical "problem" but it is annoying and IS making us choose not to add on the SMS integration to our property.

    If you have required format for the phone number for your own SMS service why not help the properties get the numbers right instead of forcing us to make the changes manually - seems against your efficiency and automation vision.

  19. It would be good if you didn't have to create room moves as 2 separate reservations but could "link" the reservations. Otherwise, the guests receive double pre- and post-stay mailings, we have to correct the registration forms manually and it also distorts the overnight stay statistics with additional arrival/departure and length of stay.

    Es wäre gut, wenn man Zimmerverschiebungen nicht als 2 separate Reservierungen anlegen müsste, sondern die Reservierungen "verknüpfen" könnte. Ansonsten erhalten die Gäste vor und nach dem Aufenthalt doppelte Mailings, wir müssen die Anmeldeformulare manuell korrigieren und es verfälscht auch die Übernachtungsstatistik durch zusätzliche An-/Abreise und Aufenthaltsdauer.

It would be extremely helpful to be able to write comments on reservation directly from the reservation overview report instead of having to click details->administer->properties and THEN be able to write a comment. After all of that, you cannot even just click back, because then you will come to the home screen and not the reservation overview report again. It would save us alot of time, especially us who write comments on almost every single reservation when we go through them for the day to check for extra needs, memberships etc :)
