  2. Creating a filter in the Mews app for the tasks; now they are in order of time of reporting, but that’s not efficient.

    A good option to help the Operations and Housekeeping teams is have a filter to put the task by roomnumber (accommodationnumber).

    Also, here other Task improves that can be helpful:

    • There is no way to filter by name, by date, by accommodation number whatever).

    • No required field to fill in creating a task accommodation number.

    So maybe it's an idea that an additional (required) field be added when creating a task, where you need to select an…

  3. Dear Mews forum managers,

    I've been on the forum for a while now and have a few suggestions for improvements.

    It would be nice if:
    *the results could be filtered according to completed, rejected, open. at the moment you have to fight your way through various articles that make no sense to read
    *if you could also filter the search, e.g. all words must be included etc.
    *if your entries were moderated so that similar ideas were grouped together
    *if there was feedback on entries that have really received a lot of votes and yet are obviously not implemented

  4. Allow Admin Users to create an internal group to facilitate group messages between staff. Right now they can only select staff one by one.

  7. It would be great to have the option to deactivate the service charge in additional services. Like a tick box where they could say if a service charge would apply or not.
    This would eliminate that the user charges the service charge by accident, leading to postings in wrong accounting categories, eventually even wrong VATs.
    Now with the new design where the service charge it is on top of all additional products, it is easier to fill in the service charge and forget about the product.

  8. I feel like a basic feaure for anyone who is using the internet for work is to use tabs in the web browser. Especially in the reception where you are often working on multiple things, and reservations at once.

    So that you cannot use the very common hot key CTRL + click to open a new tab is frustrating. That you cannot even use the old school way by right clicking is BEYOND frustrating.

  9. For hotels with the "receivable tracking" not enabled, It would be nice to consider removing the Overdue Label for past issued invoices in the Mews Search Bar. The label does not show anywhere other than the search bar.

    There is no way to act on it, but seeing it leaves the impression that the users must act on it.

  10. Now, when you enter a roomnumber, it shows partial confirmation numbers mostly. I want to quickly look up a guest by roomnumber, not only by name.

  11. Once the registration card has been completed on the tablet during check-in, it is not possible to add additional products. The message ‘Refresh to see our offers’ is displayed and it is not possible to proceed.

  13. Roomtype setup also needs to have the option to configure a rebate accounting categorie. We want to split revenue per roomtype with different accounting categories. This is possible, but when revenue is rebated it goes to a general rebate categorie instead of the configured room type accounting categories. Seems like the product team forgot to develop the rebate- and cancelled items accounting categories settings in the room type configuration section.

  15. Currently Mews does not show rate group description and rate description when multiple rates are available within one rate group. This is not ideal for any hotel that may have multiple properties to manage as well as multiple reservationists. Its unreasonable to expect for reservationists and multiple property management to remember or recall information that is vital to relay to the guest at time of booking. Most hotels have multiple rates so this is a feature that is 100% missing and required for Mews tobe competitive in the PMS market for groups and PMS for hotels.

  16. Hi all,

    the action log sould be more easier to understand.

    The commands / logs that are recorded are not clear enough.
    If a guest checks out at the Mews Kiosk then in the action log it is:

    State changed from Started to processed ....

    That doesnt make any sense and staff do not know what action was beeing done. Better is to state: checked in or checked out...

  17. When choosing Charging "Once" and then Consumed at either "Reservation end" or "Reservation start" on a stay produkt, you shouldn't be required to enter date and time when adding the item to a reservation.
    I.e. "Late check out" would be set as "Once", and when adding it to a reservation you choose Count (no. of hours) and it would automatically be posted on the check out date.

  19. Have you been scared you did a manipulation on production instead of demo? Especially when you started with Mews and everything you looked at was new to your eye? It happened to me a lot, and I thought the blue demo logo maybe isnt big enough... actually if the entire top banner was blue it would be so much easier to identify and remove all doubts about which environment we're working on (for us and for hotels too)!
