  1. Functionality to allow Room Type Overbooking while maintaining total capacity of the hotel.
    When noticing high volumes of demand for standard rooms and upgrades won't sell, you can allocate an amount of rooms you want to overbook on the standard room while still maintaining the total capacity of the hotel.

  2. Pourvoir définir qu'un check-in ne peut pas avoir lieu avant un certain délai suite à un check-out.
    Ce délai peut-être pour certaines catégories de logement ou juste pour certains jours de la semaine.

    Par exemple:
    nous n'avons pas d'équipe de ménage un we, donc interdire les réservations avec une arrivée le dimanche si un départ est prévu le samedi.
    Et inversement, une arrivée est prévue un dimanche, la chambre ne pourra pas se vendre si le check-out de la nouvelle réservation est la veille.

  3. Some of our rates are stand-alone during the week and dependent during the weekend. At the moment we have to ajust the weekend rates manually each time the base rate changes as mews doesn't support rate manipuliations on a daily bases per room type. We would definitely need the option to adjust dependent rates the same way as you adjust the base rate.

  4. Currently, it's unfortunately not possible to set a minimum price for a space / room category.

    However, this would be very helpful if you have a set of rates that derive its price from another rate (called "base rate" in Mews).

    Let's look at the following example: To create better long-stay rates, I created 16 rates. For every two days a guest stays longer, the guest will receive a (small) discount for the whole stay.

    So, the rate is always derived from another (base) rate. I would like to be able to set a minimum price on a space category…

  5. I would like the ability to Restrict Distributor (Mews online bookings), so the only way a reservation can be made is by a Mews user. I have my channel rates set-up in Rate Groups and am able to restrict my external channels as needed. However, the only way I can Restrict Distributor is by applying it to the whole house, which isn't always necessary or desired.

  6. we have several rates with the same name as we use them for different lengths of stay (i.e. corporate rate). we do not wish to display the minimum stay restrictions in the rate name itself.
    however, when creating a new rate which is linked to the base rate (i.e. you get 28% discount for stays of 7 nights), it only displays the full name. this is really annoying as you don't always know which one to pick.
    so it would be much more beneficial if you could pick the base rate on the short name (they are all individual like…

  7. It would be convenient to receive a notification if the occupancy reaches a certain percentage on a certain day. (e.g. if 60% OCC is reached on a certain day, you receive an email to notify you).

  8. Mews lists amenities on the individual room level.

    It makes more sense to list amenities on the room category level so that all rooms within a specific category come with a set of amenities.

  9. Dear Mews team, kindly note that the OLD AVAILABILITY screen is VERY ESSENTIAL for day to day work.
    The NEW availability & occupancy report does not show the whole picture of the property at a glance.
    It is very important to have the availability screen back as it is time consuming to get to the button "Old Occupancy Report" and then change mode from Occupancy to Availability.
    This is life necessary screen to have, so please never dispose this button and if possible, please bring it back to the main menu page.

  10. We should be able to modify rates for multiple room categories at once. When we modify rates for a given period we should be able to select the period and then enter the rate for each category of rooms instead of having to click - re-enter the dates and then the rate.
    It takes 3 times to amount it should take to have a more dynamic rate strategy!

  11. It would make life a lot easier when it comes to rate management if we could split weeks into Midweek/Weekend. This would allow for better rate manipulation.

    It would also let us report how we are performing by Midweek/Weekend rather than us having to manually calculate it all (which takes a very long time when you are looking at the next three months). This sort of data lets us look at which breaks are more popular at which time of year etc.

  12. I would like to be able to download the action log to excel. It will make it easier for me to control the work of the revenue manager who changes the prices. It would be good to be able to download this report automatically via exports ->schedules.

  13. Currently for Rate Management, we have to manually fill in the Room Rates for each day and each room. We use software that can generate a CSV with Rates for each Room Type, but at the moment we aren't able to import it.

  15. we have several corporate rates for different LOS and different levels of discount, although they are all showing as "corporate rate", it is important that we are able to distinguish when making reservations. to have the short name instead of the full name coming up when picking the rate would be really helpful.

  16. Once you have created a rate, you should be able to amend it and link it to a base rate. If you have already mapped it on your channel manager, you do not wish to delete it and restart, you just want to now link it to a base rate or change the base rate link

  18. At the moment the restriction settings in MEWS are very complicated and extensive. When we try to close multiple rates that are within different Rate Groups (due to the settlement required) we have to close all rates individually. Our idea is to create Rate Buckets where you can add rates manually that only apply to restriction. This way, you can apply all restrictions on these Rate Buckets instead of on rate group or individual rates.

    Furthermore, it would be perfect if you can apply restrictions based on occupancy %. I.e. if hotel is 60% booked, I want to close all…

Too many different rates in the "rate-tree"... just to create some discount, incl vs excl breakfast, non-refund vs flex etc. Can Attribute-Based Selling or Room Feature Combination Sales be an easier route forward or at least an option? https://hoteltechreport.com/news/breaking-room-categories
