Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. Mews shows our weeks start on a Monday whenever the timeline is called up. For our purposes, it would be great if this could be changed so that the timeline starts on Sunday. Could you please add this option to the timeline? Many thanks!

  2. You should be able to make changes to a reservation after the bill has been closed. This would just create a new separate bill with the extra charge/credit.

  3. Some properties find it too restrictive not to be able to modify guest count once a rebate has been created and balanced in their PMS. Bills/invoices being legal documents are understandable - however if a rebate is created to correct bill details or items, the guest count should be considered as well.

  4. In the timeline, there is no neat separation between different room types leading to mistakes when moving around reservations. It would be helpful to have a gap in between or a thicker line to make the separation more clear.

  5. From an ops perspective it would be good if we could sort the studios by studio number from top to bottom, instead of being grouped by studio type and then sorted

  6. Many details are visible in the overview field but for us a very important detail is who made the booking.
    This person has the overview and does the follow up.
    Now I have to go to "Action log" which is packed with all kinds of updates often irrelevant to the case and scroll all the way down to the bottom to find the name of the creator.
    I need to know ASAP who made the booking so I know who to ask about the booking.

  7. It should be possible to set the order of the rates yourself in the reservation form. At the moment it is apparently incomprehensibly coincidental.

    The ordering works in the settings but not in the reservation form.
    It is very annoying when you have to open the dropdown menu every time because the most booked rate is not displayed first.

  8. Add a unique icon for a third category of age so in reports, we can easily see the difference between the adults, the kids and the teenagers as for some products, teenagers pay same price as adults but for others they don't so we need this distinct category.

  9. We would like to send our guests as little email as possible. Therefore, it would be great to be able to confirm two bookable services in one mail. For example parking and a room reservation. To avoid having to send to many emails.

  10. I was trying to have 3 sets of restrictions on a given Rate Group.
    - One for arrivals up to 90 days
    - One for arrivals between 91 & 120 days
    - One over 120 days.

    Any smart ideas as to how this can be addressed, without having to create seperate rates to deal with each restriction.

  11. When closed to stay restrictions are in place it would be very helpful to show them on the timeline.

    Our previuos PMS software (Slope) used to display them using locks.

  14. could you please look into the monthly timeline as currently not a viable option (actually, it is totally useless).
    you can only see bookings of 14+ nights - we need to see all of them
    you can not move bookings - we need to be able to do so
    for us, we don't necessarily need to see a full year, but anything of 3+ months would be acceptable

  17. Hide dedicated OTA mapping rate categories from the reservation screen when only the external channel manager (Like Cubilis from Stardekk for example) has a use of them

  18. Provide functionality for auto-allocation of bookings to units, in order to spread revenue income evenly across owners. Rather than Top-Down, Bottom-Up, or Random, taking prior YTD revenue consumed by unit in to account would help spread revenue evenly and keep owners happy (particularly w/ Condo-Hotel types where individuals own specific units and put them in rental pools)

  20. In the availability report, the colomn on the left with the roomtypes, should always show the total number of rooms that you have of this roomtype.
    Indepent if a room is OOO or not. Rooms OOO should be treathed as occupied, ie. only affecting the availability per day in the rest of the columns.
