Completely agree.
We are now handling the issue by making a new reservation for the night with a different number of people.
so 1night reservation - 1 person
then new booking for the date after with 2 persons.
same name and then a task for the reception to check out and back in again.but that is causing additional hassle in regards to housekeeping noting it as a departure room, when really it is a stayover. keys expiring. etc etc

Hello Mewsers,
Thank you for your feedback.
The housekeeping system in Mews is currently based off cleaned rooms being inspected by a supervisor including for overnight stays. When rooms are inspected, they are then turned dirty overnight.
Would you be able to share some examples of why rooms would not be inspected by a supervisor or manager for overnight stays?

Agree.
We have just changed our breakfast prices.The tasks lying ahead of me of going into to every group ....and every reservation in that group....then day by day cancel the breakfast item which has been entered with the old price. only to add it again for it to refresh with the new price.

We are struggling with this issue as well. Any ideas for better handling would be appreciated.
As what I can understand now we can only set a "linnen change every 2 days" IF we then disable the "make rooms dirty upon check in". Then the settings will change a room to be dirty after 2 days.But that option is not suitable either.
Cause the rooms ARE dirty after a guest checks in
AND the Linnen should be changed after 2 days stay.
but there is a difference between "linnen change" and "departure cleaning".
There is also a very different cost of the cleaning when you use an external company. A cost we have a very hard time tracking since we can not run a report based on how many linnen change the housekeeping should have done in a period of time.For a temporary solution an option could be for the commander app to actually show how many days a guests has stayed.

For group handling we are dealing with the same milestone follow ups.
Example;
offer send - follow up after 2 weeks.
1month cancellation deadline - chase for final figures
2 weeks prior to arrival - chase for rooming listStandard follow ups to ensure all ducks are in a row when the group finally arrives.
We have a lot a small groups with 20-40 people and for every group I now have to go in a make manually tasks to ensure I remember to follow up on the different. So 5 manual tasks for every group. typed 1 by one.
Would be great if there was a way of automating such repetitive tasks, since there is no other way to track "hey I haven't received the rooming list yet" :-)
I know there is already several suggestions for automatic tasks/recurring tasks...but here is twisting in for group handling.

Would be great for our hostel as well. Often customers book a dorm private, meaning they decide how many of the rooms are occupied. So maybe 1 night they will stay 4 people in a 4bed dorm, but next night only 3 are staying. Due to fire regulations we need the accurate number of guests in house. Now we then need to make 2 seperate reservations, which is not ideal specifically for housekeeping. since the room is not a departure room that is to be cleaned on the 2nd day.
