  1. Attach profile to Booker field via Channel manager integration.
    Currently the "Booker" is being added as the owner of the reservation, but as some OTAs and Custom Booking engines allow for a Booker (as it exists in Mews) to be added, this needs to be mapped to the right profile field.

  2. Avast anti-virus classifies Mews Connector as a heuristic virus. I have to take mewsconnector.exe out of quarantine weekly (after every update) and add it as an exception. Very annoying. Do something about that.

  4. Last year we were able to pull the report even with missing data. Now - as asoon as one detail is missing, there is no access to the report. The offical partners state that they need the numbers which is the most crutial to them. We need this report to work again, even with missing names / details.

  6. The marketplace being on the dashboard is irrelevant to front desk agents and quite frankly not the place to be selling products. If MEWS wants to upsell a property then that should be done through other avenues or create a separate "managers/owners" dashboard.
    A front office agents dashboard should only show relevant information for the job they are doing.

  7. As as a user I want to leave and view ratings on integrations to make better choices when comparing integrations and leaving my own feedback for others to learn from.

    We are very interested in hearing what type of ratings you would like to leave. Whether you believe a 5-star system or a thumbs up/down system would work better.

  11. When updating a group code name in Mews, this update is not automatically sent to the middleware which results in time-consuming tasks performed by our reservations department.

  12. Currently the API between Synxis and Mews does not pull through marketing data. We would request that this feed is developed so that we can utilise information that is being captured in Synxis but not feeding through to mews.

  13. Update the integration between Salto and Mews with a complete date and time format that also includes minutes instead of hours only.

    Currently, the Salto integration can only receive the check-in and check-out hour but not the minutes. So, if you have a check-in and/or check-out time set at the half-hour, for example at 11:30 am, the integration sends the check-out time at 11:00 am.

    We propose to solve this problem since it forces us to manage half an hour of checkouts for customers who are stuck on the floors, outside their rooms, or who cannot access the elevator with…

  14. We need to regulate our departures on Sundays. Instead of having no departures on Sundays we prefer to offer for long stay clients (7days +) a departure on Sundays, but not for example for a stay Friday to Sunday.
    Right now it is not possible to send this type of restriction to the channelmanger by mews.
    It would be great to have the settled restrictions channelled in the right way.

  15. As it stands, the key cutter automatically defaults to whatever check-out time in that property is.

    When a guest adds a late check-out to their reservation, or when we enter it as a product, Mews should change the time to whatever the late check-out in that property is. Then we can still use key cutter without having to manually change the check-out time. This will significantly decrease human error in the case that reception doesn't notice that late check-out was added.

  16. Keys (using keycutter) are automatically made based on check-out and check-in times. It would be useful to make a key that works until 10h15 if the check-out is for example at 10am. Now, if guests forgot something or want to pick up luggage they left in the room at 10h01 front office needs to make a new key.

  18. Use case: allow guests to eventually check out on Operator tablet by using their key card as an identifier of the reservation/guest that is checking-out.

    Other use cases can include making use of "check-out" features available in key cutter programs such as Salto for increased security

  19. Yep, the issues we have that is looks like this mews connector is something you install on a desktop and then manually start it or something.

    We need to have this running on a server as a service/deamon, so it autostarts when we the server is started and not for a user to login and autostart.

    We have it autostarting, and autouserlogin, with locks the screen after a few moniutes, but that is not how it should be running, should be a bit more robust.

    Preferably also with something to monitor (logs, proceses, http requests) so our monitoring can see…

    A short update: we are currently investigating with our team to determine the feasibility of making a cross-platform, Windows-service ready, version of Mews Connector. More news on this investigation in the coming weeks.
