  1. Problem description:

    When we are getting a 403 Forbidden response, we only have the error message to go on about what the actual issue is. This can be an invalid rate plan or Mews being busy for a minute.

    As documented (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/guidelines/responses#response-codes), these error messages are translated in the client language, so these can be displayed to the end user.

    For example the 403 Forbidden response on /rates/updatePrice can be this:

  3. We use the Sabre SynXis CRS for channel management. For example, when we are oversold by 3 on a room type, Mews sends a 0 count to the CRS rather than -3. This creates situations where we are at risk of overselling or continuing to be oversold as we will get a cancelation but the CRS goes from 0 to 1 rather than -3 to -2. Often we get another booking before the systems refresh one another.

  4. At the moment, we can't sell Mews POS in Portugal due to lack of certification and we don't have other POS which we integrate with. Most of the prospects have PMS + POS solution with local Portuguese providers.

  6. In order to read the Salto key cards at the restaurant or other services of the property, the key card needs to include additional information about the guest.

    Could you evolve your integration such that your Mews connector positions the “FirstName-LastName-Telephone-Email” information in field #12 of the frame?

    1. Field #12 of the frame corresponds to the data of virtual track 1 of the badge.

    2. Please note that up to 121 characters can be entered on the virtual track.

  7. Both services/getAvailability and rates/getPricing support one single ServiceId parameter.
    Extending them to support multiple ServiceIds would lower number of API calls and help to minimize 429 error. Too many requests, when the limits are "used"

  9. When we use the endpoint /api/connector/v1/reservations/price (https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/connector-api/operations/reservations#price-reservations) the output does not contains the full details but only the taxes.

    It would be nice to be able to retrieve the details of which rules/products have been applied and the amount associated, directly in the output.

    For example, if a hotel apply resort fees using the rule system, retrieving only taxes and total amont is not enough to display the full details of the calculation. Currently to display it we need to fetch all rules and manually check if rule should be applied or not. And do a "revert engineering"…

  10. It would be great to have a API call that allows, changing of status of a tasks or at least to close a task.
    when using tasks for automations having a status that could be change in the API would make the process much more reliable.

  11. Please create an integration between Woocomerce (Mirai) and Mews Payments. When we receive a product from the platform Woocomerce, it is not sent to Mews because it can only be connected to Redsys to include a successful and direct payment.

  12. We use Event Temple for everything Event related however charge clients through Mews. We have an issue where when posting charges from Event Temple to Mews, Mews will only read whole numbers. E.g we may charge an hourly fee for technical assistance of $40/hr. If the client needs 90 minutes of assistance we need to charge for 1.5 hours however Mews will only see either 1 or 2 hours and ignore anything past the decimal point.

  14. It would be great to improve the choice of Gift Voucher integrations. Giftpro is great but the integration is very limited (you can't actually redeem vouchers on MEWS) -
    SmartGift is expensive.
    Could others be added - maybe GiftUp?

  17. Our desire is to only ever capture the public rates that are available via the Mews booking engine. However, the Distributor API has no flag to indicate rates that are and aren't mapped to the booking engine and we therefore have no means of filtering out non-public rates.

  19. We have Booking.com directly connected to Mews via the Marketplace.

    It sometimes happens that we get disconnected (mapping error --> price too high because mistyped).

    Right now, you can only set one email address. This email address will receive reservation related issues and integration related issues.
    But these issues target completely different departments in a hotel (front office vs. IT).

    It would be very helpful to be able to set two email addresses:
    1. For all reservation related issues
    2. For all integration related issues (mapping errors, sync stopped, ...)
