  1. Could we add a descriptive text to the landing page, so we can clarify any current promotions or restrictions? Ie. “Accepting reservations for Summer 2024 now” - anything that would help prevent guests from selecting date selections that are in a blackout or have particular restrictions (ie. we do not allow Saturday check-in, so selecting any dates that begin on Sat returns no availability).

  2. Currently we are only able to upload one logo, which is used both in the top left of the booking engine, as well as the top of the email templates. As a result, we are stuck with a logo that works for one or the other, but not both.

    We would like to be able to set separate logos, so we can tailor them to the exact purpose they are being used for.

  3. To have the possibility to set a minimum required information for new reservations booked trough the booking engine: that every room booking requires name, phone number and email address of one of the staying guest.

  4. This way front of house operations weill not affect rates shown in the IBE
    Many hotels have a lower rate in FOH to make currency exchanges, but this affects the rate shown on the IBE

  5. Currently we are able to set up a booking engine for each bookable service, and even select which rooms/rates we want to display per engine. Works great!

    However, the only branding/names displayed in the booking engine are the company name, and the room type name.

    If you have double rooms in two different bookable services, under the same company. It get's a little bit confusing for the guest as to which actual place it is that they are booking.

    A custom name would be great, or an (optional) subheader with the bookable service name would also suffice.

Whilst its 'controlled' in the booking flow that a guest cannot complete the reservation without ticking the acceptance box for T&Cs, when it comes to defending a chargeback it supports a stronger counter-challenge if we have the ability to send a screenshot of the reservation summary with the datapoint captured that the T&Cs were accepted and timestamped.

  8. There are currently two ways to open the booking engine and I would like to see them combined.

    1. Standalone: to open the booking engine with a URL on a new tab/page of the browser. It also allows deeplinks to preselect language, currency, dates, persons, category etc.
    2. Widget: to open the booking engine in a, iframe popup overlay by creating a button with the class 'distributor-open' and without link.

    I would like to use a combination of them, so open the widget with a deeplink.

    It should be as easy as adding the deeplink to a button with the class 'distributor-open'.…

  9. Create the option for a guest photo to be added to the Internals - Guest Notes section of MEWS please.
    The new update is great with categorized notes.
    Being able to upload a picture of our VIP and regular guests would be really helpful

  11. Add restrictions by occupancy levels or similar logic.
    Like: apply minimum stay or close if occupancy >= 80%.
    We can apply this logic in most channel managers, but not in Mews. Would be great to have the logic applied in the PMS - and not through 3rd party.

  12. Afterpay have a large presence in ANZ and are expanding their offering. Offering the payment option via the Mews BE would enhance the experience for customers in the region.

  13. Integrate with Airbnb, Expedia and Booking.com directly including Chat API so that we can have a universal chat experience for our guests, currently we are having to use a clunky external system that provides a unified inbox.

    But it would be SOOOO much better if this was integrated directly into MEWS.

  14. After booking, it would be nice if there was an option to send the confirmation details (including name of guest) to a secondary email as well.

    This is similar to airline bookings where you can send booking confirmation to additional email addresses afterwards as well, such as a company admin, additional family members, etc.

  15. On results page, the number of searched adults is located on a separate event (ga4FetchedWithOccupancy) from the event containing a Data Layer with searched dates, availableRooms, prices, currency. Include the searched adults number in the data layer of ga4CategoriesLoaded

When a customer buys a voucher (gift card) on vouchercart or any other gift card integration, we want the gift card balance to be pushed to Mews AND deduced from any future invoice that the customer makes, which is not currently the case. All gift cards vouchers are therefore completely useless. Not having a 100% fully automatic gift card system in a hotellerie management software in 2023 is not solving a stone age problem.

  17. Add additional field to the availability block to communicate details on the booking link. Right now, guests with booking link cannot book pre and post dates. Guests using the link do not know that and get upset. If there was a field linked to the booking link, we could add a Welcome, specify block dates, and cut-off dates, along with who to contact to book outside of the block.

  18. In some cases, guest wants to book a specific space (favorite room for example) or want to make sure as a family they have rooms next to each other. Currently that is not possible via our booking journey on the BE.

  19. We need to be able to edit the term "categories" - my hotel is 13 rooms and they're all unique so they're all their own categories and users, when they are invited to explore other rooms with availability it reads "other categories with availability" which to the user makes no sense. One simple field in the back end for how to refer to "categories" would make a huge difference for our business.
