Downgrades not syncing properly with OTAs linked with the direct interfaces
Customer X has booked room category #1. If I manually upgrade him (drag and drop) to a higher category, say #2, then the OTA's availabilities will be updated to reflect this upgrade. Then, If I manually downgrade X in his original requested category the OTA'a availabilities will be once more updated and revert to their original state. Allow inquired reservations to auto release by system
There is a setting in the system to instruct optional and inquired reservations to auto release. To operate a waitlist it would be better to split this instruction so that inquired bookings auto release and optional reservations don't auto release.

Datas by booking
Gender / Nationality / Date of birth by booking
Could we make madatory for a guest who is booking to fill his Gender / Nationality / Date of birth as well ? Right now he only has to fill his last name, email and phone number.

Missed check out flags as different colour on timeline and in app
It would be useful if the "missed check out" status could be represented on the timeline by the reservation changing colour, similar to the "missed departure" status where the reservation changes to orange the day after they were supposed to check out. This could also be shown in the app. Currently the "missed check out" status can only be seen in the Reservations Overview Report.

Impove Timeline visual appearance for improved working conditions & accessibility
We're new to MEWS and whilst the functionality is brilliant (thank you), our front of house team really struggle with the visual appearance of the timeline. Spending lots of screen time on a screen with poor visual appearance and contrasts is not healthy and inefficient as it is difficult to see the timeline at a glance - please could you look at improving visual contrasts both colours and lines between dates/spaces for improved accessibility.

Receive booking modifications
It would be helpful to receive email notifications if a OTA booking has been modified. We have direct integrations for Booking.com and Expedia but do not receive any sort of modification if a booking is modified.
We have previously requested this feature via a support ticket but were told this would not be considered but I'm sure other hoteliers would find this helpful - particularly as some upgrades have not been modified via Mews.1 vote -
Increase occupancy after closing the bill
You should be able to make changes to a reservation after the bill has been closed. This would just create a new separate bill with the extra charge/credit.

If you want to enter a new reservation, all rate groups and rates appear in the availability display. However, the rate window is not wide enough to display all rates. You have to scroll all the way down to expand the display to the right.
I would like to see this bar for expanding the rate display above the rates window, ie below "rooms".

Option to confirm two bookable services (parking + stay) in one mail
We would like to send our guests as little email as possible. Therefore, it would be great to be able to confirm two bookable services in one mail. For example parking and a room reservation. To avoid having to send to many emails.

Timeline layout
In the timeline, there is no neat separation between different room types leading to mistakes when moving around reservations. It would be helpful to have a gap in between or a thicker line to make the separation more clear.

Optional bookings
Optional reservations should not be confirmable without adding a credit card as guarantee, Big corporations cannot have control of reservations that the clients were able to confirm without a credit card as guarantee this can cause lots of no shows and issues.

Currently, Mews does not allow sending an automated email before the guest's arrival to request a bank pre-authorization as a guarantee. It is currently possible to realize a pre-authorization but only on the amount of the reservation. So I want to realize a pre-authorization for the booking amount and add the deposit amount, for example 500 euros. Can you add this feature please?

Show in order overview field the name of the staffmember who made the booking
Many details are visible in the overview field but for us a very important detail is who made the booking.
This person has the overview and does the follow up.
Now I have to go to "Action log" which is packed with all kinds of updates often irrelevant to the case and scroll all the way down to the bottom to find the name of the creator.
I need to know ASAP who made the booking so I know who to ask about the booking.

Import Reservations with Creation Date
When migrating data from past provider to Mews, allow importing the original creation date of all reservations being migrated to facilitate analysis of the booking pace (comparing booking creation date and guest's arrival date)

Different vivid colors to differenciate cancellations
We are missing a more efficient way to visualize cancellations in the reservation reports. Right now, you can see the cancelled status with a grey color that is not clear enough. Maybe red of a more vivid color.

Split origin 'in person' to: 'in person - walk in' and 'in person - extension'
This was already posted before and it got 25 votes. The moderator answered that there is already an 'in person' option but this is not enough as there are more actions that happen 'in person'. As a hotel you want to distinguish between walk-ins and extensions from reservations that both happen in person.

Offer the Option to Stop Recurring Automated Tasks
Tasks Management: certain automated events in Mews create Automated Tasks. Admins would love the option to disable some of the recurring tasks
Most automated Tasks, except for the Manual Settlement task enabled in the rate group setting, do not currently have the setting to edit/disable the task at will (for example: when payment requests are fulfilled).
