Property Operations and PMS: this is the forum for posting your ideas and comments on all aspects of hotel operations, from reservations to events to metrics and reports. Where we can, we'll move ideas around to group them as intuitively as possible for the product managers working on the PMS.

  1. Guests may know in advance that they have companions coming to stay for only part of their reservation. Therefore, properties may want to apply these changes as soon as possible, rather than waiting until after check-in. This additional feature could allow users to split future bookings as necessary.

  2. On smartphones, the extended version of the reservation module is not visible. By "extended version of the reservation module", I mean the right hand side when you open a reservation in Commander. It would be nice to be able to see it on mobile as well.

  3. We zouden graag zien dat een DELUXE kamer of een Urban EXTRA kamer niet geupgrade kan worden naar een triple. Dit is namelijk nooit een upgrade want deze type kamers zijn ruimer en daar betalen mensen voor.

  4. Mews does not provide the number of check-ins completed using the Mews Operator, In the reservations tile on the Mews dashboard a number of statistics are displayed in a widget. It would beneficial to add the number of Operator / kiosk check-ins to this widget

  5. Once a reservation has been confirmed in Mews, it is currently not possible to change that status to optional. Rather, the user must delete and recreate this reservation as optional in order to do so. Introducing the functionality to edit reservation status could help your front office simplify booking changes as they could update those details directly from the reservation module.

  6. In order to start a reservation office for the several hotels in one destination, we would like to see and compare voucher rates of all hotels to offer the guest the best fitting room.
    That would work, as soon as we have the possibility to put in the voucher in the reservation screen before we choose the hotel from one destination.

  7. So we have tasks and we can filter them out with departments. But I think it would be a nice touch, when you are going to tasks, it would predict department you are assigned to, and will show this by default, without filtering it out.

  8. When double clicking on the reservation number, it also selects some text next to the reservation number.
    In the daily use, you often have to copy the reservation number, so it's much easier and faster if you can do it with a double click.

  9. NR Bookings made via booking.com with different guestnames are not taken over in Mews. If you do yourself, and delete bookers name, payment information dissapears. How to implement other name in single room without changing payment info?

  10. We should be able in Commander to filter room search upon making a new booking or re-assignment based on requested/needed attributes. Also we should offer to guests on Distributor to pick the attributes of their choice and inventory should be shown accordingly.

    As group reservations often appear together on the Timeline, there is not currently an efficient solution to relocate all of them once. An additional Timeline feature could enable moving all group reservations to another block simultaneously.

  14. Tasks are very helpful to track daily responsibilities in Mews. However as many tasks are recurring, it could be helpful to eliminate that manual work and add a repeating tag to allow automatic repetition of those particular assignments on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

  16. If you want to know, what or how many reservation were coming in today, you have to go through reports and filter by creation date etc., which is very complicated for just having a live update, especially in high demand days like fairs.
    It would be more convenient if you could put an extra button on the dashboard under reservations like "update reservation". So that it is also possible to check this from outside or if you just want to have a quick check for the day.

  17. Sometimes, staff is not made aware when a booking may be modified, which is frustrating as they may be forced to check their email more often than they would like. To help keep everyone informed, the system could automatically create tasks when a booking is modified to be processed by staff as they are received.

  18. Delay or even cancel the pop-ups on Occupancy and Availability screens. They are incredibaly anoying when you are trying to look at data, and they constantly pop-up or down above, below when you hoover over your availability and occupancy screen.

    Please make sure there is a small delay, i.e. when you stopt for 0,5 seconds that it pops up.

  19. the feature to create reocurring reservations: In this case guest will come back every monday tuesday and thrusday until July.
