Ability to switch off the legionella function
Some hostels often have rooms that do not have bathrooms connected and therefore do not have water pipes. In this a few other cases, turning those rooms to "dirty" with reason "legionella" after 7 days unoccupied does not apply.
Can we add a setting that will allow us to turn off "legionella"?

We want to be able to switch off the legionella function.
As we have other circumstances that make us comply with these rules. It would be a huge help if we can switch off the legionella function.

This functionality is necessary, if you make use of the different service type, e.g. selling parking spots or meeting rooms via mews. It is not very fortunate, that Mews encourages hotels to make use of the different services without being able to turning off unnecessary functionalities.

It is very frustrating that there is no possibility to disable this function. While working with an integrating party like Hub OS, it looks like all these rooms need cleaning, whereas they only need a legionalla check. For us it looks like we need way more housekeeping staff because of this, then we actually need....

Currenlty all the MEWS spaces change to ditry after 7 days, due to legionalla check. this feeds through to the integrating party RoomChecking which sees all these rooms as to be cleaned. whereas they only need the leagionella check.
MEWS should introduce more granular states which are available over the connector API so RC can built logic to define that a rooms needs a legionella check vs. actual cleaning

Mews has been frustrating the legionella process since the beginning of this pandemic. Hotels that do not run Housekeeping via the Mews system should be able to swith off the legionella function. It's ridiculous Mews decides for you you have to use this option. They say we and they are legally obliged to prevent legionella and therefore force it upon our throats, but I am legally obliged to other other things as well and it is none of Mews' business if and how I do it. I still decide how I run my hotel. For months I have discrepancies in the room statusses and it really messes with the operation.

Totally agree to be having this function switched off. The internal PPM system recording in Hotels also secure this expect from the H&S prospective, why is the PMS dictating this process instead ?

Agreed, this is also the case for bed type spaces. Where there isn't going to be a water outlet within that bed.
