multiple selections (in rate, base rate, rate group) in restriction conditions set-up

It is absolutely necessary to modify the way MEWS creates restrictions. We need to be able to create a restriction for different dates without creating 10 times the same restriction. We need to be able to create a restriction for more than 1 room category and one rate at a time. It is currently impossible to do a proper yield management without wasting a huge amount of time.

I found a workaround, it's not 100% but saves a lot of time!
In CALENDAR VIEW under restrictions it is possible to show all your room catagories.
From there you can change restrictions per catagory much easier.Unfortunately cannot post a screen shot here.
Anyone interested? -

E.G - I want to close all corporate rates for 12th December - I have 3 rate groups for corporate guests - Individual Corporate, Consortia and Corporate Negotiated.
If I want to close them I have to create a new restriction for each group. It would be easier if I could just tick the ones I want to close on 1 restriction

Copy the way the 'Days' criteria works in restrictions, where you are able to select/deselect days in restrictions to other criteria such as Rate Group and Space Category etc. this will save time so you don't have to create a new restriction for each rate Group and space Category etc.

If you currently setup a restriction, you are only able to select one rate / rate group / space etc. If you need more rates or rate groups for this restriction, you need to add another restriction. It would be perfect if this would be a check list, instead of a pick list so you can check more boxes rather than selecting just one.

Easier rate management, enables the ability to have certain rates bookable in a much easier fashion

In the Menu Restrictions, allow restrictions with multiple rates and/or multiple room types. Allow in exceptions the same fields as in restrictions : example : rates & room types

Would be great if we can select various rates/ rate groups to apply the same restriction from drop-down list.
Or in exceptions we could put that the restrictions apply to all except that particular one rate/ rate group. -

Had the same issue Steve had down here.
The restriction tool is not user friendly at all when compared to the one provided in Siteminder.
In Mews, there's no way to independently select a restriction, say, for all but one space type, nor all but one particular rate group, etc.
For instance, if you do want to keep opened one specific type or rate but close all others, this forces you to create one single restriction for every condition.
When you have a long list of space types or rates, this means creating multiple lines (up to 10 restriction lines per day in my case!) and losing a lot of useful time.
Also, there's no way to make a difference for restrictions you want to apply in OTAs only, but not restricted in your own booking engine or for walk-ins or direct groups... At the moment I have to unrestrict a days whenever the front desk has to create a direct reservation on a restricted day. Every single time!
So yes, at the moment the only workaround is to manage restrictions from my channel manager instead.
This solution could be a great improvement for rate management. -

Did a test, wanted to enter a MLOS of 1 night for one room category and our other seven categories a MLOS of 2 nights.
This was near to one hundred (How many?!) 100(!) mouse clicks.
That's pretty unser unfriendly, ain't it?Solution for now: Skip Mews and do it directly in the channelmanager(30 seconds and done),

Independent restrictions allowing one restriction to be connected to multiple rates or space types
