Currently there seems to be no limit for the number of children you can search for... seems like a bug.

The amount of children should be limited to the maximum room capacity of a search result for the number of adults.

So if 5 adults can be accommodated in 3 rooms and these 3 rooms can in addition accommodate 6 children, this should be the cap (max).

Idea to upvote January 2024 - I don’t know any other pms system that doesn’t have this feature. This together with the lack of sorting abilities and rate depended on2 persons. Is making me not wanting to recommend Mews to other Hotels sadly. It has been 1 years since this request. It is very critical

Super important for us too. Must be important for all hotels. There is a big difference between a 1 year old vs adult. I am really surprised this is not an option

In the configuration of the booking engine, you are able to select the maximum amount of adults per booking - but not the maximum amount of children.

This feature would be nice to have.

Same problem here with our family room! Want only allow 2 adults and 2 children instead of 4 adults. Really need to be able to put an restriction on how many adults you can have, channels can have this, but direct bookings not.

It would be very helpful to have the possibility to define the capacity per space category by age category. E.g.
Classic Room - Max. Occ. 3 Person - max no adults 2, max no children 1
Suite - Max. Occ. 4 - max no adults 3, max. no. children 2

The reason is that we do have bigger rooms with e.g. a Sofabed for additional person but this would only suite for one adult but 2 children.

1. We would like to make it possible to add a baby and a child (up to 12 yo) on some rooms, but in MEWS I can only put extra capacity for either 1 or 2 people. When I put down 2 people it gives guests the option to put two children up to 12yo in the room.
Is it also possible to distinguish age groups in this capacity? So that guest can only add 1 child and 1 baby, and not two children?

It`s very important for us, to relosve this issue as soon as possible.
Otherwise we cannot sell our rooms right.

Allowing age-based pricing, it is relevant that age-based features applies to the space categories settings & not only rates & products.

Hello this is very important! We have family rooms, which can have 2 adults and 2 children 4 -12 years - but not 4 adults.

This couses problems very day for our hotels.

Par exemple, dans les Chambre X, dire que nous pouvons y accueillir 2 adultes, 1 enfant et 1 bébé, puis dans la Chambre Y, 2 adultes uniquement, et enfin dans la Chambre Z, 2 adultes et seulement 1 bébé (pas 1 adulte en +).

Aussi, ce serait idéal que lorsque le client faire une recherche pour + de 2 adultes, que ça lui propose uniquement les chambres dans lesquels il peut tenir?

We have roomtypes where the age is a limit.
Family room can have 2 adults and 2 children but not 4 adults.
This is a huge problem, because we can not set the rooms correct up for our guests.

The ability to add ages for our Family room reservations. Our family rooms accommodate 3 adults or 2adlt and max. 2 children up to 11
As this feature is not available we have set up the room occupancy for 3 persons; either 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child so we currently lose bookings from families with 2 adults and 2 children. If we allow a room occupancy of 4 persons we start receiving bookings with 4 adults and our sofa bed is not equipped to take the weight of 2 adults
