    Thank you for your suggestions and feedback. We are currently researching improvements to group functionality and have updated this request as one to be upvoted by the Mews community.

    In order to assist us with our research we would like to gather additional use cases for groups. Would you be able to share more information with us regarding how you envision a “Group offer calculator” to work?

  3. When we change something in a big group, the loading takes a long time and after some minutes we will receive a time out error. Then we have to change this per 10 rooms, otherwise it's not working as it should be. Our accounting team has the same problems with creating reports requested by his external auditor. It took them 2 days to get the requested reports, due the time out error they had to reduce the timeframe every time. they started for 1 year, and made the time every time smaller.

  4. Excel rooming list must have telephone number field.
    Guest receives a text message by arrival with door code and room number. When the group is 50 people, it is important to be able to load the phone number in rooming list.

  5. Group confirmation should have a more simple overview, one line per space category and per single/double use. Each line should have the folloring "tabs"/information: number of rooms, unit price, total pris, VAT. Group bookers asks for a simple overview and not 120 lines for each room.
    This confirmation should be generated in a PDF file and in vertical format.

  6. Enable assigning specific rooms to the group block. Properties should be able to block specific room numbers for the group so that the groups are staying close to each other.

  7. Is there a way to move one or more bookings from one group to either a new one or another already excising group?
    merge doesn't work as it somehow moves ALL the group bookings even if you only have ticked those that you need to move.
    if not possible, could it be made possible please as sometimes you add a booking by mistake and now you need to cancel it and make again. if the guest is already in-house, that is of course not an option!

  8. In a group you have to enter a task in each room individually. This should also be possible once per group.

  9. With the notes, it needs to be possible to edit the notes inside of reservations, inside of a group, on a reservation to reservation basis so that multiple reservations can have their notes edited or modified at the same time, while you retain the ability to exclude some reservations which are inside of the group from receiving these notes.

  10. The "group by" filter in the reservation report does not differentiate between groups with 1 reservation and those with 3+ reservations. Mews assigns a group reference/name to all regardless of the number of reservations in the group.

    For better group management, we need a more comprehensive group reporting for all corporate/business/conference groups at a property which would aid in easier marketing, financial performance, and reservation management.

  11. When we upload a Group rooming list, at the moment even if all rooms are single rooms the uploaded names will land in the system as Companion. In this way we cannot see the names of the guests staying in the rooms when we look at the timeline for example. It will show the names that the group was picked up under and since we don't always have the rooming list by the time we actually pickup the rooms we use for instance the group name and all rooms will show the Group name as such.   14. It is not possible to use dynamic rates for availability blocks, only set rates. As some groups or crews have dynamic agreements, this means the hotel can’t set the correct rate for them.

    Since Mews now will work on groups with different release dates etc. (“allotment”) will it be considered to also look into dynamic pricing from availability blocks?

  15. it is very annoying that when you search and choose a group, one of the bookings is ticked. if it is a large group, you are not always able to see which one and need to scroll down to unclick it before you are able to make any chances to other bookings. waste of time and also huge potential to make mistakes

  16. We need the OPTION to pre-allocate rooms in an availability block. By the time we receive some rooming lists and pick-up the beds, other guests have already extended in a room and then ruined exclusivity in a section/floor; or if you sell beds in a hostel, the extensions have led to the availability block guests being split up over multiple different rooms.

  17. Request to increase the Reservation Group Size. The current reservation group size of 500 reservations is not sufficient and is creating operational issues for large-size Hotel Venues.

  18. it doesn't seem possible to move individual reservations from one group to another.
    for example if you have a recurring (annual) group and have by mistake added a booking to the previous year, you are not able to move just one reservation to the current year.
    merging groups is not an option, in this case.

  19. When you put in a rate in Availability block the product rule that you have made should for the rate should follow. If I make a Availability block today and put in a rate the product rule for that rate doesn´t follow and I need to make a new product rule for every new block I do.

  20. It should be possible to change the room category of a reservation from a block without changing the block. It is critical that for example the Front Desk are able to change room type(by changing the room number), or upgrade easily from the reservation without changing the availability block. This used to be possible, so please bring it back.
