  1. When we receive a booking from our PMS, a new profile is automatically created. However if we had already blacklisted a profile with the same name, we must think about merging both profile. The idea would be if there is at least one common information (email adress, phone number, CC details), Mews should send us a notification to check if this is the same guest or not, and then we decide to blackist or not with a link available in the email notification.

  2. Merging profile with email is fine.
    But we could improve it by merging it on basis of the passport/ID number. This way, a booking.com guest would be merged and seen as a returning guest.

    At Mews we’ve introduced a new way to manage your bills. The vertical layout keeps your billing screen clean and relevant, giving you a simplistic overview of all your bills in one place.

    Built on newer, smarter and faster technology, the new screen opens up a new world of possibilities.   4. When entering companions, new and existing customers should be able to be entered in the same field. The first field should search for existing profile and offer the option "News costumer" (as it works well in the main search field).

  5. In many countries, there are multiple official languages, meaning that nationality cannot reliably be used to determine a guest's preferred language for communication. A field for default communication language could then be added to customer profile to ensure consistency in all correspondence and also to prevent guests from receiving messages that they don't understand.

  7. Properties should be able to customize their own origins as they may need to use more than the hardcoded ones, mainly for reporting purposes

  8. It will be very useful to put a note for each credit card in order to know if the credit card is a personal one or a professional one. So we will be able to take a deposit on the right CC and differentiate each CC.

  10. Add an option in settings to set the Billing screen standard to the 'Old Billing Screen' or the new 'Group Billing Screen'. That way, if the original billing screen is prefered you do not have to change the screen manually everytime.

    We have added functionality that will allow you to switch between the new and old billing screens. However, we will soon be removing the old billing screen towards the end of February 2021.

    Since the new update you have to scroll down to see the whole information and this is not helpful is it possible to request to change it back that when a Task is created and also Note we can see the whole information as previously

  15. If the channel manager has made reservations (and therefore it's not possible for the rest of us to merge groups), or if we have several bookings from different backgrounds and do not wish to mix their billings, it would be great to connect the reservations somehow. In stead of group, call it "related" or similar.

  16. The Check-out report is a fast way to check out guests, if only it was possible to have an option to select a box called "send invoice to customer". Would also be great if there could be a possibility to move the invoices between private and company before sending them and/or a symbol showing if it's a company invoice.

    What can legally be changed on a closed bill or invoice is different for each country. If you have a specific case for your country, could you please create a new feature request for your specific country and use case?

    We’d like to collect requests per country for this idea.

  18. Many people travel with family and share a lot of the same contact information or details within their customer profile. For many companions, sharing addresses could be used to speed up check-in or to consolidate customer profiles, as employees could use information that is already present, rather than re-entering details that may already be available. By implementing this feature, family travel and data sharing could be improved for both guests and properties alike.

  19. It would be very handy to be able to assign a certain product to a room category.

    For example, we have a room category that is dog-friendly and we charge a one off fee. I want the guests to have the option to select the product when making a booking but also restrict them from booking it in another room category.
