  3. Add an option in settings to set the Billing screen standard to the 'Old Billing Screen' or the new 'Group Billing Screen'. That way, if the original billing screen is prefered you do not have to change the screen manually everytime.

    We have added functionality that will allow you to switch between the new and old billing screens. However, we will soon be removing the old billing screen towards the end of February 2021.

  5. The new Billing screen is just horrible.
    I switch to the old billing screen everytime and i guess i am not the only one doing that. When i ask others, they think the same.
    Having a vertical menu is not a bad idea, but I cannot use the new menu because its a pain ********** to read what's on the screen.
    Everything is in the same white square, and I can barely see what is what except if i take time to focus on the screen... What is the point of having a social media-like interface if it burns my…

    We at Mews follow strict design guidelines and principles and customising the colours on the timeline is currently not something we will be working on. We constantly review our design choices and will keep usability and accessibility very close in our decision making process.

  8. I just want to know why they are complicating the billing screen at a time when there were no issues with it? We don't understand. We feel a little held ******* by this design flaw. The old billing screen is a godsend for Accounting. It makes the workflow so much smoother. We feel as though the new billing screen is an eyesore and hard to read.   9. We should have a unified solution for updating the cost of items that are outside of EHW or closed on a bill. For example in some Legal Environments, taxes are applied based on the length of reservation. Upon the change of length, taxes should be updated on all nights.
    This should be somehow reflected in reports and values such as average night rate etc.

    The reason for this is that we need to handle changes of taxes with correctional items and not by overwriting already posted and in some cases reported items.

  12. Matching the Manager report and Accounting report could be difficult as there is no option for a more granular view of the Manager report. Manager report should be expandable same as the Accounting report - have mode Grouped and Detailed so it can be drilled down to actual charges and bills.

    The “Move selected items” button appears in the lower section of the screen in order to allow you to move multiple selected bill items from different bills. Whereas the “Move all items” button sits on a individual bill, which means the action is limited to the items on one bill.

    It is for this reason why the two buttons are in separate locations. It is unlikely that the location for the “Move selected items” will be changed as the current location fits the use cases for multiple actions to be carried out at once.

  14. Have a link to directly downlad the api for the Mews Application for android and apple phones. As we have company pads and phones and do not want to use our private gmail accounts to access google appsstore.

    Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We have reviewed your request and searched for options that can solve it.

    In the Apple AppStore, it is only possible to download an application via the store. As commercial developers, we are not permitted by Apple to provide an alternative means of providing access to applications listed in the AppStore.

    I the case of Android, it would be possible to provide an .apk file that can be saved locally on a device. However, the biggest limitation here is that for applications installed using this method, we unable to automatically update the application. This would lead to security risks for the file, as well as the risk that a user will lose access once the older version of the application has been deprecated.

    For the reasons listed above we are unable to provide an alternate means of accessing the app…

  16. we had a comment from a guest who took objection over the fact he couldn't put in "british" as nationality. it comes up as "UK of GB...."

    All required fields in the PMS are based on legal requirements. It is unlikely that we will allow the modification of required fields, or the addition of mandatory fields that do no meet legal standards in each region in the near future.

    Hi Simone,

    Thank you for sharing your feedback. All headers on registration cards are left aligned, whereas free text fields added to the registration cards are right aligned during printing.

    The reason the alignment is set this way, is to allow our uses and guests to easily see when text (such as a name or email for example) has been added to the registration card rather than having all the text stacked. The additional white space on left is added to allow users to write additional text without obstructing the original format.

    The current format has been selected for ease of use. It is therefore unlikely that it will be adjusted in the near future.

  20. It would be much quicker if a new customer can be added with an ID card when the guest is at the reception to check in. In that case the details wouldn't have to be filled in manually.
    Besides that, I don't know if it's our scanner or the Mews software, but it does some strange things with the cards sometimes. Making men women, reading expiration dates as a date in the past (1930-2030), not reading numbers, changing nationality, sticking first names together... Quite annoying and confusing for our accountant.
