  1. It would be useful to have a mail template to be sent a few days before the guest arrival, as a reminder, but also to let them have directions to the hotel, useful info regarding events during their stay etc.

    Hi Mewsers!
    We have template called “Before start” which is automatically sent 48 hours before the guest’s arrival.

    This template is partially customizable. You can customize Subject, Headline, and Paragraph. (please see the attachment)

  2. At the moment in Mews Excel reports the dates contain a character in front of them therefore they can not be used in combination with any extended and formulated self made excel reports. For instance HLOOKUP will not find the date on Mews reports due to above. This is important for proper ARR data on daily basis between segments as at the moment the only way to do this is to average the rates however this dilutes them. All Mews has to do is remove any characters from the dates on the reports.

  4. We zouden het fijn vinden als er op de tijdlijn meer met fellere kleuren gewerkt zou worden. Aankomst, ingecheckt, uitgecheckt/ toekomstige boeking.. Dit maakt het onderscheid makkelijker.

    Hello,

    I’m happy to announce that it is now possible to create multiple bookable services in Mews and start offering offices, meeting rooms, desks or parking spots to your guests.

    There is a dedicated timeline and reporting for each new service. Services can be offered on daily or overnight basis.

  7. Make a view specially designed for the breakfast team.

    They want to have a few with: guestname, roomnumber, how many persons. They want to track who came and who still need to have breakfast. So a simple checkbox in that list would do.

    Also the day before a prediction for the amount of breakfast next day, that is easy to access for the breakfast team members.

  8. There is only one value which can be assigned to a stay product. Some products can have variable values. A setting would be helpful to allow some products to have their value changed. This would allow for variable products to be billed/reported against reservations as opposed to as editable service product.

    Hello from the Mews product team.

    We are very happy to inform you that we currently support the ability to print registration cards in multiple languages, including French.

    Each registration card is printed based on the guests nationality as set up in Mews. For example if the guests Nationality is French, registration cards printed for that guests will be in French. The same process can be applied for gusts of multiple nationalities.

On the timeline sometimes when we have over bookings we need to play the old tetris move some people and re-arrange their stay in order to fit everybody in, however when there is hardly any room you cant simply move the bookings easily. what would be very very VERY useful will be to have a section where you could dump up to 3 bookings in order to make some room while you try to fit everyone in. kinda like a blank space at the top of the timeline or a little pool for tetris you know you can even call…

    Thank you for the suggestions and upvotes.

    With the addition of the Optimise Space allocation on the timeline, the old tetris game just got easier!

    Not only do you have to worry less about playing tetris on the timeline, you can also choose to move reservations to an extra slot from the reservations module by selecting “none” instead of selecting a room number; this action can be performed for several reservations.

    You’ll now be able to view the reservation(s) that you have moved in the overbooking slot from the timeline, from here you can easily arrange and rearrange reservations as per your preference, or select the optimise timeline button to automatically move the reservations to an optimal location.

Recently a check in a create keys button was added to each booking which is great it checks in and creates the keys for the customers HOWEVER! it only works after 4pm, because our official check in is at 4pm. what we would like will be the function to work at any time! and instead a pop up will appear that will say it is not 4pm yet would you like to create the key? yes, no. and it will create them either way as long as it leaves a record that they were created before or after 4.

    This was due to a bug that has since been resolved. A key can be cut at any time after the reservation is checked in. As long as the check-in is completed, there is no problem cutting a key prior to the default reservation start time set by the property.

  15. As promised here is the video with the 2 issues that our reception team will be delighted with if they are improved :)

    The first one: when creating invoices, see timecode 1:17, Pam needs to highlight and copy the booking reference number from that booking on the dashboard tab for that booking, she then needs to go to the billing tab and manually paste the number so then the invoice can be generated for the customer. Now imagine having to do this for every single booking every day. On friday she will need to do this over 120 times, this…

    Thank you for the feedback.

    We are very happy to inform you that it is possible to print empty registration cards.

    The feature can be set up from your registration card configuration settings. Under the “Options” menu, select “Print based on person count”. When this setting is enabled, you will be able to print an additional blank registration card for all reservations where companion details have not yet been completed.

    Thank you for your request, we are happy to inform you that it is no possible to group by groups in the reservation report in order to view all of the groups in your property. 


    For larger groups you can use the availability block report to view group information.

  19. Currently the only area to add a booking reference (OTA or other) is in the notes field. This should be a field within the reservation screen that can then be used to locate a reservation.
    This is especially important where multiple reservations are received on the one booking file but are for a different party within that reservation..maybe with same surname but different dates of stay.
    It is also helpful if reconciling commission statements etc
