  2. the update overview on Mews is great, but could it please be possible to add a delete button once you have read the update. that way you know exactly which ones you still need to familiarise yourself with and don't end up with a list 500km long!

  4. Is it possible to make the task field in MEWS bigger again so that you can drag the field to write info in it?

    Before the update, you could drag the "Description" window larger using the arrows at the bottom right.
    It would be great if that were possible again. Thank you in advance. Tina

  5. The new layout with boxes and not lines to write on is very disturbing for the eye. Mostly when checking the customer profile, but in general too. Please bring back the simple line. More elegant AND non the less way more eye-friendly!

  7. Les propositions que nous envoyons à nos clients pour les demandes de groupes manquent cruellement de clairté et de précisions.
    Il faudrait travailler sur le sujet.
    Que le client ait un récapitulatif par exemple :
    Par date de séjour du nombre de logements proposé, à quel prix par nuit x le nb de nuits le total TTC et HT
    idem pour les produits annexes.
    date d'option, montant de l'acompte demandé, ou détail des conditions de réservation.

  8. Wij hebben een "receptierekening" aangemaakt waarop wij lopende dingen boeken zoals fietsverhuur, cadeaubonnen verkoop, receptie shop artikelen. Er staan inmiddels heel veel regels op deze rekening. Wij scrollen ons rot. :-) Is het mogelijk om er een kalender aan te hangen. De lopende dingen van die dag zie je in beeld en mocht je iets van een andere dag willen zien dan klik je op het kalendertje om die dag in te kunnen zien.
    Ik hoop dat dit duidelijk genoeg is. Ik heb met Stepan gesproken, hij weet volgens mij wat ik bedoel.

  11. Possibility to export or backup Mews configurations.
    We need a way to get mews configurations saved externally, so we can have a way to verify what was the config in case a user change something and we need to revert (or know how it was before). Thanks

  12. As most European Drivers Licencies are valid Identify documents, it would be helpful to first of all be able to scan them directly to MEWS and secondly that they count similarly to the Customer Profile statistics as a passport.

    Second, the scanner does not recognise an expiry date in 2030 (and later) for Swiss ID cards, but always saves 1930 as expiry date.

    Third, how come the passport scanner does not save the issue date?

  13. All the Main Menu sections, all links within MEWS - please make them openable with the middle mouse click (new tab in the browser) - it's tedious to have to manually open a new instance of MEWS in another tab to be able to quickly view two sections side-by-side. Why are not all links and sections like this?

  14. I would like to set a "Minimum advance reservation" restriction 4 hours before midnight (8 pm). Then customers cannot reserve online after 8 pm for reservations on that day of arrival. Our reception closes at 9 pm. This way our reception has at least 1 hour to help guests with information (digital keys, night safe) for a late arrival.

  15. I would love to see a standalone version of mews that doesn't run on a browser.

    This would have two key benefits:

    • much faster loading times. We suffer from incredibly slow operating speeds all through mews, every time we press a button it has to spend time loading, which in cue means customers have to wait longer. creating terrible customer experience.

    • ability to have an offline mode. We also suffer not only from occasional mews outages, due to slow/unresponsive actions - but also bad internet where we are, which can often be very temperamental and drop out often during adverse…

  16. Currently the favicons in the browser tabs look the same for these two sites, which makes navigating between multiple tabs longer than it should (say you have 2 help pages open and 2 MEWS tabs - jumping between them can be tedious since the tab (fav)icons are the same.

  17. Configuration setting which allows us to Swop number of adults in reservation screen van low to high.
    By default its set to highest number of users, while our business services predominantly 1 persons in dorm types.
    We notice many wrong bookings are made, since its set by default on 1.

    Could we please get a choice on whether we display 1 adult before 2 adults.

    It would be great it there is an option to delete (internal) messages threads and to remove members from the thread.

  19. First of all: I like that there is a symbol / notification in Commander (in the top right) for new releases.

    But once I have clicked on it, I would like that it disappears, also after logging out and back in.

    It basically should only appear, once there is a new release note. Because like that I always know that there is something new I should read.
    But if I receive a notification (--> the icon shows up in the top right), but there is no new release note, it's a bit frustrating if there is no new release note.

    We are happy to announce that we have moved to a new structure for release notes that has resolved the issue you have outlined; the release notes icon will now appear only when there are unread release notes. 

  20. Message visibility

    Customer Messages should be attached directly to the customer profile, so that all hotel staff can easily access/read/react to the conversation.

    In that way, only unread messages would appear in the general customer message board and that would clear the clutter.
    There could even be a message icon on every reservation badge, so that the staff can access customer-hotel conversations directly.
