  1. Could we have the possibility of coloring certain dates of the Mews calendar / planning of the establishment in order to reference the important dates of the year (events, holidays, vacations...). With, if possible, the possibility of adding a text when you pass the cursor over the date in question.

    For example :
    - Put the date of July 14 in green with the text "Holiday: French National Day"
    - Put in red January 10 with the text "congress".

  3. We need a waitlist for overbookings. Meaning if you are fully booked, you can put customers on a waitlist, as soon as there is a cancellation, the guest will be informed and offered a room. Thank you.

Guests occasionally have a reservation under one booking, followed by another reservation under a different booking number (e.g if they've decided to add another night or have been staying for work and adding another day as a personal expense). Under the current system they need to check out and get their cards recut which isn't a great customer experience, we need to manually allocate the same room for both stays, inform Housekeeping not to clear the room and if they haven't paid in advance, we need to pay extra attention to their billing as it's split over multiple bookings.

  5. This was already posted before and it got 25 votes. The moderator answered that there is already an 'in person' option but this is not enough as there are more actions that happen 'in person'. As a hotel you want to distinguish between walk-ins and extensions from reservations that both happen in person.

  6. It would be an awesome feature, if you could individually select the color of a reservation in the timeline - that would make an overview much easier.

    For example: Two rooms are booked from the same customer. Therefore you can select a specific color for both reservations. Then you can easily recognise bookings in the timeline, that belong together.

  7. Currently, after a guest associated with a group block checks in and wants to be moved to a different room type, we have to adjust or add the room type to the block. This is a few added steps for the FD and reservations. I suggest that when the availability block is released then the guest reservations are available to actual inventory opposed to that within the block.

  8. Optional reservations should not be confirmable without adding a credit card as guarantee, Big corporations cannot have control of reservations that the clients were able to confirm without a credit card as guarantee this can cause lots of no shows and issues.

  9. You can only select one rate plan but have the feature to select multiple segments, etc. Why not have the same feature for rate plans?

  13. Group confirmation should have a more simple overview, one line per space category and per single/double use. Each line should have the folloring "tabs"/information: number of rooms, unit price, total pris, VAT. Group bookers asks for a simple overview and not 120 lines for each room.
    This confirmation should be generated in a PDF file and in vertical format.

  17. On the Mailing tab it would be convenient to see a list of emails that have been sent from that reservation.

    That way we can quickly ensure that Reservation Agents are not double sending emails and if the guest contacts us, we can quickly see what has been sent to them concerning that reservation.

  18. Guests often abort the Online CI at the credit card entry field, but complete the guest registration process. A completed guest registration should somehow be marked in MEWS as it saves time for the receptionist and creates a better guest experience.

    Possible solutions:
    Header text: must be checked in - Completed guest registration - Checked in Online
    Icon somewhere in the reservations of the arrival field
    When printing out guest registration cards, replace those of the guests that already completed the form with the actual completed PDF. (prefered solution)

  19. In the check out report we can see a lot of details for the reservation but not the set departure time. It would be good to see the set departure time or have the check-out report sorted by departure time.
