  1. We would like to customize the occupancy in the booking engine, so that we have the posibility to manage the amount of available houses for sale.

    For example, when there is one house left in each house type, it should not be possible to sell in the Booking engine to avoid overbooking, so it is only possible to book by contacting us directly.

  2. It would be great to have a task created when a product is added during the booking process on the booking engine. This will save time so the team do not have to search upcoming bookings.

  3. The requested feature is that guests can register on a wait list on fully booked dates with automatic email notifications for when rooms are again available on the desired date(s).

    This would remove any need for manual labor from the hotel side to handle wait lists.

    Example:
    - Guest tries to book a room Aug 1st - Aug 2nd
    - Hotel is fully booked
    - Guest opts in to our guest list by entering their email address
    - Hotel opens up for bookings on Aug 1st
    - Guest automatically receives email saying that the date(s) they searched for now have…

We've just tested conversion on the mews booking engine vs siteminder and mews is significantly lower and what appears to be the key fix is to allow the site visitors to see all bookable spaces/rooms/packages available on step 1 in combination with date selector so they can refine down to preferred room and dates. I've seen multiple other requests which suggest the same issue

  5. Many properties with accommodation packages (eg. spa, activities/tours etc) want the ability to first chose the package, prior to chose the room type as this could be an "early stage" upsell in the booking flow.

  7. We manage several holiday rental units and the different space categories have different addresses in two different cities.
    Currently the property address is placed in the general settings tab. The address placed in the general settings tab is the one that appears in the booking confirmation message for reservations at Mews booking engine in at tahe " How to get there" field.
    We've tried to leave the ‘City’ field in the general settings tab blank, but it's not possible because it's a mandatory field.

  8. At our property we have limited parking spots available to our guest. At this moment the option to book a parking spot is hidden in the list of products in the engine when parking is fully booked. However, it would be great if the bookings engine could show it as sold out/fully booked. This would help us receiving fewer questions and not having to disappoint guest when we let them know they cannot park after they made their room reservation.

  9. When a family is booking online, the booking engine doesn’t currently cater for validate the age of guests within a room. This creates invalid reservations with children and/or babies staying alone in a room. This requires a solution I believe.

  10. When campaign code is restricted, booking engine should show this to the guest "the campaign code is not available this date, please try another date"

    At the moment Booking Engine is showing only available rates and not giving any information about the restricted campaign code.

  11. It would be great to be able to
    - setup public promotions / special offer campaigns like you can do on booking.com or expedia. Setup a special offer as a percentage or fixed amount discount based upon (a selection of) existing public rate, possibly with restrictions in terms of booking window and/or travel window, etc..
    - setup private discounts on (a selection of) existing rates with a promo code, for example a code returning guets can enter in the booking engine to access a returning booker discount on all rates ,...
    - above offers/discounts shall be also available for staff…

  12. We need more customization options in the mail templates. To create a new template and choose when it is sent would be greatly beneficial. We also need more options to customize the existing templates, we should be able to use all existing placeholders in all emails, so for example we could include just arrival date or number of guests, without departure date and rate.

  13. Have the possibility send a seperate, secured link just to update the credit card details (not through online check in, but prior to booking) when guests want to book through e-mail, so guests can update their cc details without having to call or send the details through email.

  14. When guests are filling out mandatory fields in the booking engine, such as their phone number, they can fill out a number that does not exist and the booking engine will accept this as a phone number (e.g. just the number "0").

    It would be helpful if the booking engine would recognize phone numbers as a valid phone number, so we have all contact details we may need from the guest after they make the booking.

  15. Spaces are shown in the BE based on the rate group and cancellation policy. For a hostel with dorms, rooms and beds, this make the dorms and rooms to be displayed firt (more expensive) rather than the beds (less expensive) and potential customers are easily discouraged when they only look at the first elements shown. It would be helpful to choose wich space type show first regardless of the pricing configuration.

To customize the guest journey for distribution partners, we would LOVE to see the ability to customize background images for individual booking engines for accommodations as well as for availability blocks. Not only will examples of this experience help get distribution partnerships over the finish line, but it will also create a custom and personalized experience for the relevant guests. Furthemore, it creates numerous opportunities for cobranding.

  17. At the moment the internal guest classifications are fixed. It would be very helpful if we had the option to manually add our own classifications to this list (as is possible for the segments.) We could then assign more appropriate classifications.

  19. Our little Hotel has doors with PIN Code to allow 24h Checkin.
    We need a mandatory "Mobile Phone" field on the reservation form as a data input for the guest profile in order to later send out the Chekin PIN Codes to the guests arriving via SMS.

    We do this since 15 years now with an old booking engine. We decided to change to a new 360 PMS system and found Mews. But now in the onboarding process we had to discover that Mews has no such field. Thus we can not continue to send Checkin SMS Pin Codes to…
